Re: NL25 - Time to Fold Aces?
I put villain on Jx and raise the turn. as played, call the river for the same reason.
Note that villain cannot have A2s FWIW.
Edit: need to reread my own advice. "raise the river for the same...

but full pot is a flush way too often.

How does everyone else feel about this sentiment? I feel like the bet is begging for a fold whereas a flush would bet ~1/2 pot.

Re: Bluff with fours at NL25
If you actually had trip 8s on a dry board would you shove the turn or get AI with two smaller bets? Probably the latter, which is why this will not work well enough against a competent player to be...

Re: NL25 -- JTs line check please?
PF: I prefer to see a cheap flop with large implied odds. This can include raising if the players will call and the raise is small compared to the stack size.
Turn: likes his hand enough to buy a...

I understand that eviljeff proposes to replace the forum divisions with tags (expressed in such a way to provoke some people). I see it differently. The tags' purpose would be to sift for topics...

Two suggestions for the coming upgrade
1) Allow Mods to put people on "probation". This means prohibiting posting privileges for a limited time due to dickishness/rule breaking. It bets the trichotomy of warning users, locking threads and...

Re: Why do none of the 3/6 and 5/10 full ring players post here?
1) Why not split the forum for a month so we can argue outside the hypothetical.
2) If the advice sucks, please, please call us out on it rather than ranting later. That's how we learn, and the...

Risking $5 to win $5 against bettor and a raiser when five others had seen a juicy flop. Sounds like a bad risk to reward to me. Calling is better because SB will likely call behind giving you 4:1...

Re: NL10 : trouble spot with JJ
Horrible flop, and given the stack sizes the bet size is effectively $7 not $4. Also, the 1/2 PSB suggest villain wants to get AI next street. Comfortable fold.

The good news is that there is nothing to suggest you are up against a set, and two pair is even unlikelier. Thus, you are probably against a worse pair, or a draw. The bad news is that whatever...

Acceptable options are check fold or bet-fold where the bet is small.
We have no information except for the turn, which could be a draw, a king, an ace, a jack, nine. The motivation for betting...
