Re: pair + draw vs spewtard

you see i didnt realize the math was so close here. Against a different villian I'd check and get it in. Fsu & gang are right: aiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiai.

Re: $10/20 3bethand vs LAG
the only reason to bet the river would be to induce a bluff check raise. but i would only make this play if i had a good read on my opponent. otherwise, checking behind is ok.

Re: Live NYC 50/100 Trips
i don't like leading river without a read since villain's range is likely missed draws and strong hands like JT or boats. i prefer check calling without a read. the only exception is if you can...

Re: TPTK facing pressure on a monotone flop
i agree with pushing this preflop, btw. you've got great fold equity since even if villain perceives your range to be KK+ and AK, he is incorrect to call with anything except AA/KK, and these make...

Re: TPGK vs Punketty

I honestly think I would pay ~ 25k to have samo's image. It's absolutely astounding how bad everyone plays versus him just because of his reputation.

i'd say 25k is a...

Re: TPGK vs Punketty
punketty likes betting two thirds of the pot mostly, so i wouldn't read too much into his bet sizing.

many posts on these boards seem like huge levels these days. to me it doesn't seem like you have any idea what you are doing in this hand. stacking off with jacks in this situation is just really...

cant believe all the responses saying fold. is it because of chat or do you fold otherwise too?

Re: TPTK facing pressure on a monotone flop
if you and villain don't have much history and he's new to table, i generally would put him on a narrow pre-flop three-betting range, like TT+ and AK. on this flop, i would think his range includes...

Re: pair + draw vs spewtard
quick mental calculations suggest that the decision here is pretty close depending on a number of factors:
1. how close his range is weighted towards AK vs JJ+
2. how much he bets if you check...

Re: 50/100 4 handed
although the answer depends very much on the flow of the match, i strongly lean towards a fold. villain could be overbetting pot since from his perspective you have played this hand like you either...

Why did you call the turn? There's been no discussion hammering the call.

Re: River value spot
i abuse the pot button. given the villain you describe and momentum of the match, you will likely get called by a wide range of hands. if you check or make a small bluff-inducing bet, the range of...

villain likely doesn't have a 9, so bet the biggest amount you think he'll call. also, i generally play more aggressively pre-flop and on the flop in situations like this, but your line might be...

Re: Very deep rivered 2nd nuts 10/20
shove. it sucks if he has qq, but you will be looked up by 44/77 often enough for shoving to be profitable. is there something about this situation that makes the decision close?
