Re: Stud8 - Is this Collusion?
When I use the term "cooperative betting," I mean making a play because your play allows another player in position to make a play that will increase your expectation. Getting a draw in the middle...

Re: Stud8 - Is this Collusion?
Cooperative betting strategy in a three way pot is an element of good poker, not collusion. Even so, this was just a normal c/r on Five to eliminate a better high hand. Normal.

Re: Call or 3-bet river?
Your hand looks about as strong as it actually is, which is an important criterion in deciding whether to call, re-raise or fold. You mention that villain is a donk, but even donks can see your...

Re: Questionable limp (Stud Hi)
I play Third the same. Fourth you could raise. You'll be in position unless you improve and you could take a free card on Five if not. Fifth is a straight-up value bet, but taking the pot here is...

Re: Stud hi - flushdraw 3-way, becomes tricky
Giving away your hand with a four-flush is not such a bad thing. One-pair hands will know you haven't "beat" them yet and will come along, and most guys will call down even if you make your hand...

Re: Limp behind hand in razz
If seat 6 will come along, raising Fifth has to be better than calling, and the only way to find out is to make the raise. If Seat 2 is made, hero is a 2:1 dog on Fifth, so I want the overlay of the...

Re: OnGame converter?
There was a special converter written by Greenage for PR stud hands. I had it on my old computer but not on this one. Try a PM.

Re: Mundane Stud Hi Hand
[ QUOTE ]
I think I'd rather have one opponent than two when I'm value-betting Jacks-up on the end. Having two opponents makes it significantly more likely that we're beaten. You wouldn't bet...

Re: Mundane Stud Hi Hand
Raise Third every time. Besides getting heads-up against a pair of Tens (which would be nice) you are trying to charge draws the maximum and force the Ace to tell you if he has a pair or not. Looks...

I used to play this game a lot like 20 years ago, but it's been a while, so if things are different now, ignore me.
I re-raise a button raise pre-draw with any big trips, and with only $30 behind,...

Re: Stud hi - thoughts on playing 3 2 a straight.
On third, you have a medium three-straight with four dead straight cards in sight and a two-flush with two more of your suit out. This has got to be a fold unless you're stealing (it's a non-standard...

Re: Stud hi call down with two pair
As noted, your pair is small, your kicker sucks, fold Third.
Nobody has to put you on two pair to play correctly against you. A pair bigger than nines isn't ever a terrible dog against you and...

Re: Razz with Queen\'s wild (lc)
If you make an obviuos sucker play at a guy he might get pissed and leave. If he's dumb enough to think he's playing Queens wild online, you want him to hang around all night.

Re: Razz with Queen\'s wild (lc)
Lying about your hand, that's totally fine. Lying about the rules of the game when there's no dealer to correct you, with the intent to hook a sucker, well, that's just straight being a dick.

Re: Razz: raise the river? Fold 5th?
Always raising Third may give you misleading information. With three wheel cards, he can't be a huge favorite until there's more of your board out there, so even if he's perfect he may wait until you...
