Re: more Hand Reading practice
I'd showdown this way with 99, 89s, 9Ts any better suited T, ATo here I think given villans stats. Probably makes sense not to repop 99 here if villan is LAGfish and will pay off when you hit.

Re: river bluff against flush draw
OP has zero pair; A high.
OP is beaten by any 7, 9, T, J, Q, K.
I'm saying this is VERY narrow because villan is probably not folding and is likely to have one of those cards.
I agree with...

He doesn't likely have a better kicker and there is no way I can get away from a FH here.
I might just c/c this river though as you aren't getting called by hands that beat you and you are repping...

I'd say with a VPIP + WtSD ratio like this villan is probably only going to SD with a pair (however poor) and A high at best. This river is a bluff against a calling station...

I'd raise that flop so as not to let AK draw.
Easier with reads.

Re: saving money vs set
I've changed my mind. 3betting and checking the turn is probably a pretty poor line. I think calling and donking a reasonable turn shows more strength and is potentially cheaper and more value.

Re: 25NL - A high flush facing giant overbet on paired board
What do you put him on? The only hands that have you beat here that I can put him on are 44, 33, 43, maybe a slowplayed QQ/KK. Much more likely a worse flush, 2pair or air imo. This is an...

Re: saving money vs set
This is where you 3bet or fold. I like fold with no reads. If he's aggro on the flop/button a raise is fine. If he's passive; all that much easier to turf.
Very read dependant. Without reads...

Re: 30NL - 6max - KK
I can find a fold here. The board is dry; can't imagine he's putting you on a draw.
If he were more aggro I'd be happy to 3bet here but a minraise from a 35/10/1 usually means he's hit something....

Re: J,J: call/raise/fold river against LP?
Probably should be a bit closer to 8-9 on turn if your going to raise here; same effect though I think. I'm inclined to call turn knowing I need to make some cash if I hit the river to get implied...

Value bet. 1/2 pot.
Whether or not I call a raise is very player dependant. I'd call a shove most of the time as people at this limit will often enough go crazy with their slowplayed...

Re: thoughts here?
This spot sucks.
I think I would rather have put him all-in myself vbetting this river so I'm not too upset to call and lose to a boat here. He's not getting value which ever way we look at it.
