Vilain does not 3-bet much (QQ+, AK is most of his range, even in that spot), and he can certainly smooth call with such hands in that spot to trap a loose opener.

Would you really take that line with an overpair (in a 3-way pot)? I would tend to check in a spot...

Vilain rarely raise pre-flop and is not particularly aggressive post-flop.

Also, I'm not sure I like betting 15$ and folding for another 15$ in a 75$ pot. Not because of the pot odds but because...

Good question. I didn't bother to mention vilain's stats because I had not play that much against him and I didn't think it would matter much in a spot like this one ... I guess I was wrong.
