Re: AK facing river all-in
"A tight/passive player limps in early"

Loose UTG fish limps (350). So does MP1 whisch is 48/13,5/0.63 (3800). It seems like MP1 plays well...

Re: AK UTG
I don't like your 3 bet at all. You will get all worse hands to fold and a clever TAG wouldnīt 4 bet you with AA KK and 88. Call his flop raise and check-call the turn. Block bet or check call the...

Re: 10/20NL hand vs hotmark777
I donīt like the flop call. There is no implied odds on this scary board and if he has A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif you will loose a huge pot.
I also think you have to fold the river. You can...

Well, no. Against all players the bet sucks, esp. weak untricky ones.
You bet for lots of reasons. mainly to protect the best hand. on this board, a half pot bet...

Re: good ole river check raise with my nut boat
The turn bet could be perfect or terrible depending on the opponent.
If the opponent is a good tricky player the half pot turn bet is terrible because there is a great chance he will take the pot...

Re: KK hand against Hallingol

So I bet into him here to protect my future 2-barrel bluffs.

Then I think a turn bet is ok as a variation even though my standard play would be to check-call the turn. I...

Re: KK hand against Hallingol
Against a solid tricky player like Hallingol I would prefer to check-call the turn.
The way you played it you have to check the river. Donīt try a blocking bet. He way to good for that.

What's there not to like?

It would be unusual for me to play AA and KK the way I play my AK. Normally I would check the turn and call a river bet or value bet after he...

Re: 5/10 NL (10 handed)
Exactly the way I was thinking. The problem could be that this is not the way I would play a hand like AA or maybe KK, where I'm likely to check behind him on the turn and then call a river bet from...
