Re: Live 2/5: A2s
You could raise the flop and take control of the hand, getting a free river showdown when he goes into calling mode. If he leads into you despite that level of aggression, then your fold might be...

Re: Live 2/5 mystery hand
Hero got himself into trouble, I feel, by raising the turn. The board is bone dry as far as straights and flushes. Either SB has a monster or air. If Hero feels the need to raise turn, I'm guessing...

Re: Would you consider laying this down?
Assuming all parties get the money in here, against AQ AND 2pr/lower set the equity for KK here is like 25-26%. But that's quite the parlay to convince yourself to fold.

Re: Would you consider laying this down?
I'd go broke too. When I witnessed this hand I thought it was the worst fold I'd ever seen for a pot that big. But I wanted to see what others would think if they were in that situation, and so far...

Re: Live $1/$2 game, tricky AA, 250BB deep...
The same size bet on the turn smells of a nine. The flop raise was to get rid of you with TP, but the turn bet is to keep you around.
I think I'd have played the flop the same way. Since you're...

Would you consider laying this down?
You are UTG+2 in a 9 handed live 1/2 NL game which up until now has been very calm.
One limper to you. You are dealt KhKs. You raise to 15, get three callers behind you plus the UTG limper.

Re: Visiting Biloxi, need help...
I can't speak to the tourneys, but neither room is any great shakes from what I understand. Whatever you choose, play fast, win or bust out early, then head to the Beau.

Re: 1-2NL Hand At The Taj
If you're going to fold, fold the turn. If you're going to raise, raise the flop. Better yet reraise PF so you can get most of your money in as quickly as possible. There are too many scare cards to...

Re: KJs live 1/2: TP bet sizing
I don't play enough at Foxwoods to know how bet sizes are interpreted, but I would have led for a hair more, like $30. That way when I flop huge and want to bet big my bet size will be similar.

Re: KJs live 1/2: TP bet sizing
Did you consider c/r ing flop? From your profile of him, it seem like a bet from the button is inevitable, and you increase the chances of getting it heads up by squeezing out the cold caller or...

Re: Whoops I flopped top and bottom
Seems like a good situation. I envision MP on a FD or an OESD (including 69, a popular hand) given the size of the raise. It's the perfect size to call with good draws, so why would he let two...

Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
It's Derek Lowe you should compare with Dice-K, not Arroyo. And while I think it's a wash for regular season, Lowe had the better postseason '04 than Dice-K's '07.
Nixon was hurt for about half of...
