Re: Jesus these games are agressive....

Why the appeal to Chris Ferguson in the thread title? Is he some sort of higher power?

Re: \"Jesus\" advises Yang to stiff dealers?

I'm not going to read the entire thread to find out if this has already been discussed.

Something is wrong with this picture.

From what I've read 700 dealers get 60% of the tip pie. Doesn't...

Re: Question for David Sklansky or other probability/poker theory experts

I see. You feel you've been playing very well, and only want people to commiserate with your 125,000 hand run of bad luck.

Far be it from me to make further queries in an effort to get you to...

Re: Dying a hero, w/o the belief of afterlife

Why should I squander my life today for 10,000 when there is a non-zero probability that I might be able to squander it for a larger group in the future? I'll wait for a better offer.

The world...

Say, I was playing against a total pay station last night. 6 handed game. His numbers after about 300 hands were 92/1.2/1.86, though his real post flop aggression factor was more like...

Re: anti-bot solution

Typing in a code is a waste of time. The bot would simply signal that it needs attention because part of the screen is covered. Owner walks over and types in the code.

That code BS is to make the...

Re: Climate predictions

It would seem to me that if any of the models were considered reliable by the modeling community, there wouldn't be a couple dozen groups using different models. Instead there would be very few...

Re: Anyone recieve Pstars checks for <$1000

Requested $500 on 1/22. Haven't received it yet. Stars says they issued the check on 1/23. 15 business days won't be up until next week.

Requested $300 on 1/29. Got that yesterday. Deposited it in...

Re: Helmuth - Ferguson Head Up Match Theory Question

I wrote this up before I read the replies. Seems logical to me.

Dave said the opponent will continue to play the same way and you know them very well. Since you know them well, you must already be...

Re: Statistics for a winning player

If you use a fixed session length and an average table strength. Regardless of running well or poorly (as long as you are playing well). I've found that for limit holdem the long run (1000's of...

Re: Need Help With Tournament Simulation

Dave,

I'm wondering if the question you asked is really what you want. If the expert only rebuys when necessary, the pool and the expert's investment will on average be smaller. That would likely...

Re: Need Help With Tournament Simulation

$10 at 5% is the baseline. All other percentages played for $10 should be proportional.

You might want to review your current figures.

Found a bias when awarding finish position. If two or more players have equal stacks when they bust out at the same time, I assigned the next finish to first player I came across. Can't do that....
