Re: World\'s Largest Fully Automated Poker Room

A local card room I frequent is completely automated with these tables and I have to say its not bad. You see more hands and no dealer mistakes. The only complaint I have with them is that you have...

Re: NL10 Stars JJ\'s in SB - Help me out!!

I would re raise here to $2 pre flop and then pot it on the flop. If you get raised there I would c/c the rest of the hand. Villain could have A9, AT, or a set but if he's that aggressive his range...

Re: 10nl what do you do after the calling station calls your cbet?

I cbet most of the time and if called I slow way down. Once he called I would narrow his range down to K8-KQ, 66, 88. Most likely it's a K. I would check behind on this turn and fold to any bet on...

Re: NL2 250bb deep AA hand - line check and feedback wanted

I would raise it up enough to put the BB all in as well. Both these villains have tiny stacks.

Re: NL2 250bb deep, AK hand

I think this could be QQ or even AK just as much as this could be AA or TT. I would raise this flop, if villain folds great we won a pot. If we get raised I think you can call and reevaluate the...

2NL - Raised by loose aggressive

Villain is 66/27/8.5 over 36 hands. This is the second time he has raised my flop cbet. How do you react to a villain that is this aggressive?

Re: 2NL - TPGK faced flop check raise

I tend to go too far with top pair so I laid it down. I didn't factor in the flush draw at the time. If I miss the flush should I call down the river?

Re: SB Play

Calling here is probably fine, but I wouldn't fire into a 5 handed pot with middle pair OOP.

Re: NL2 250bb deep turn bluff...thoughts?

If you get check raised all-in then you can lay it down, but at least you know where you stand. When you make the raise on the turn you're not really sure if you ahead or behind and it cost you more...

Re: NL2 250bb deep turn bluff...thoughts?

I play at these stakes and I would bet the flop for about .4 and if you get called c/f to any aggression. Most of the time you will pick the pot and the times you get called/raised you can be fairly...

Re: Early position

[ QUOTE ]
Yes, I've read it a few times, excellent read. I came up with other questions. Playing pp's is pretty much straight-forward play, the probability of me flopping a set or better is 11.8%...

Re: $5NL 6-Max, flopped straight even bigger turn

I think at this level making a small bet on the turn is the way to go. You are missing value if you don't. Player will call if they hit any part of the board even if it contains every draw. Any...

Re: AA on scary flop

I would make a PSB on the flop to kill the odds on any draws. If you get called, c/f the turn if no diamond falls. If you get raised on the flop I would hate to lay it down but I think you have to.

Re: 2NL - AKs blind play

I've always wondered what a good rule of thumb is for reraises. I know that it can depend on the opponents and condition. I'm guessing I should have made it at least .20, 3x the raise plus limpers?

2NL - AKs blind play

I seem to get most of my good hands in the blinds (variance) and feel lost when I do. No reads on villain, played two hands with him this being the last. Is this standard? Reraise pf good?

NL2 - JJ OOP Scary Board

I'm just starting out playing NL after playing LHE for a few years so I'm getting used to the changes.

Re: Reno Rooms

Just played at the Reno Hilton which I would stay away from. The format there just sucks. I play in the $4/$8 holdem game they had going and the blinds were both $2 and it had a 1/2 kill.

Re: Sacramento card rooms

There is also the Limelight Card Room on Alahambra downtown. They only have 5 tables spreading 3-6 and 4-8, games can get pretty good as it is also a bar.
