Re: Interesting river spot: what to do?
I think you can remove AA and 32s from your range. I think I am just calling here, if I don't have any good reads. If you shove, you are probably only getting called by a K, or AA. And if he doesn't...

Re: 25NL - AKs OOP against decent player
Here is an important question. How do you think the villain views you? Are you playing laggy or tight? Have you and the villain clashed, have you two barreled and shown down any mediocre hands? Have...

Re: 25nl AK line check
I like a bet of about $3.00 on the flop. I think the Check is fine on the river, and I agree it is likely that he has a missed flush draw here as well. He could have KJ, but I don't think I would lay...

Re: Dear uNL: You are not good enough
I am in total agreement with this post. When I started playing strictly cash about 6 months ago, I was raising QJs, QJo types of hands preflop UTG and I would either win a small amount or lose a big....

Re: Taking a weird line w/ KK @ 100nl
I think UTG has a Q. I don't think he bets out into you on the river with a missed draw, he is betting for value.
As played, I would have just called the river.

Re: 25NL - TP for stacks
[ QUOTE ]
How to avoid these situations. The simple answer is to fold QJ, KJ, KT etc. preflop. These are all long term losers.

Opening a pot from early position with QJ, KJ, KT...

Re: c/r or b/3b?
Depends solely on your read on the villain at this point. Also depends on how the villain views you as well. Do you have a history with this villain? Have you raised a c-bet in the past and showed...

Re: 25NL: 99 overpair versus 2p2\'er deep, spew?
I don't think he folds JJ-TT either. Obviously if he re raises you, than you are folding. Tricky spot OOP, I am not looking to go crazy on the turn or river if he just calls your raise. You took a...

TPTK small blind v big blind
Villain has shown a tendency to defend his big blind against obvious stealing posistions. He is capable of three betting from the blinds as I saw him do it a few times against a late position raiser....

Re: Trips on a horrible board
I don't see any value in betting here. With two players calling your flop bet, one of them is sure to have a diamond, if not both. Check, and hope to see the a showdown without investing anymore...

Re: soaring eagle in mich
The poker room is open 24 hours a day now. I can confirm they have a 1/2 100 max game. I also will be there the last weekend in July, but don't know if I will be playing Poker or not.

Re: 25nl Push draw?
I like it. I don't think you could fold for an extra $1.75 preflop with position.
If you just raise the flop bet to say like $12.00 and get called than a rag hits, than what? Or what if you hit...

Re: Move to Cash Games
The first few years of playing poker I played mainly SNG's and MTT's. After having a son in December I decided that I would make the transition over to cash games. The main reason was I did this was...
