Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

OSU-Oregon end is a total abortion. Both of these coaches shouldn't even keep their jobs for the overtime. What a total joke.

Re: Introduction to Five Tools Analysis: Hitting

I didn't realize how much swinging a baseball bat was like swinging a golf club.

Re: ***OFFICIAL SEC TITLE GAME THREAD: LSU v TENNESSEE***

I think field goals are better for these promotions just because it's fun to see people not even get it to the end zone.

Re: ***OFFICIAL SEC TITLE GAME THREAD: LSU v TENNESSEE***

Damn that was an awful choke and he was so pure in the first ten throws.

Re: New York Knicks \'07-\'08 playoffs or Busto thread

Isn't this team going to be bad until at least 2010? Too bad, I always liked the knicks. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: $6.50: 4 BBs thin shove UTG. Standard?

I thought this was close and couldn't possibly be real bad but it is really, you have to fold.

Re: The fishiest site

Look at the sites that all the hands here are posted from, and those are the ones not to play.

Re: old 100\'s

I would just buy some euros or yuan or something, keeping american money is like lighting $ on fire. In fact I would recommend spending any money you make from poker as soon as possible because it...

Re: noataima killing 200/400plo right now

plo is all about having the 54/46es go your way, bad players can run good for hundreds of thousands of hands, in fact nobody is actually good at plo, all the "good" players just win more of the ones...

Re: A straight on the flop - I folded it. ($5)

First hand is so bad, that is a total instacall and in fact I am happy he openshoved because a lot of people will play top pair no diamond that way figuring they protect their hand.
2nd hand is...

Re: PokerStars $22 -- Is re-raise here with QQ the right play?

Only consider folding against known regulars (actually you should fold against most regs as QQ is crushed vs. the shove), cooler if you were beat against this guy but I am very glad to get it in.

Re: ($24) Q9 as TP from BB minraised by BTN

I know this is super weak, especially against a guy who limped his button, but I usually just fold preflop. Even though you have a decent suited hand I think there are substantial rio with these crap...

Re: $10 JJ facing shove and call @15/30

This is actually close but why did you not raise preflop, jeez.

Re: $5+0.50 Playing AJs Aggressively (Too Aggressively?)

This is obviously marginal but the fact that you have a lot of chips and wont be crippled if you get stacked against most players makes me more inclined to play the hand. I would make it 200 or 225...

Re: $22, 77 UTG in tough spot

I always thought most of our future edge came in pushing spots where it was close that our opponents would miss. Also increasing your stack increases your future edge, because you'll have more +EV...

Re: $10 Home game, (easy) fold?

I would shove pre because it's the bubble and I want them to fold, although 5x and shoving any flop probably gives you more of a chip gain on average.

Re: [2.25] KK in BB against lots of limpers/ ugly flop.

I like gambling and making it 400, shoving flops with no ace. Also when I make the raise, I hope they all call. An ace flops only one in six, and this gives people a better chance to make a huge...

Re: $16 - AQ badddddd?

I would just bet it on the flop and get it in, it isn't that bad if he checkraises you since it's so rare for him to have both a better made hand and a better draw.
Also you are almost certainly...

Re: AQo on the bubble

This one is subtle though. There are situations where calling 10bb with AQ on the bubble is a standard play (probably never against a somewhat tight range like he usually will have here but against...

What kind of questions do they ask in these interviews? Is there stupid [censored] like "what is your favorite color"?

Re: is this shove a bit much? (6.50)

It depends on how he plays...breakeven is around 50% assuming a fairly tight bb call range.

Re: 3 decisions I thought were -ev but good in the long run

Hand 1, your five is definitely live, gotta call.
Hand 2, both cards live, 3 way pot, str8 possibilities, getting at least 2-1, easy easy call.
Suited broadway, how can you fold hand 3?!?!

Re: *****OFFICIAL DALLAS COWBOYS VS GREEN BAY PACKERS 11/29/07 THREAD*

Why wouldn't you, if it hadn't hit the guy they would have got it back and it works something like 2/3 of the time. Also good for metagame on future kickoffs.

Re: $16 - 99 on 337 board

I would fold this, these days people just aren't bad enough (usually) to not have trips here, yes you will see a fd sometimes but that's not that great as they will often have 40-45% equity.
