Re: nl50 , folding AKo vs 3bet PF?
a) too sophisticated. People don't think a lot on 50NL. he most likely doesn't know what a dry side pot is. I am dead seriously about this.
b) you are going to miss 66% of the time. Do you really...

And btw: don't think that your opponents think the way that you do. They usually will slowplay themselves to death.

Re: Bluff catcher
Well, I made a lot of stupid calls when I thought: that bet is too big to be a value bet. It's a bluff. As a default, you should believe that a big bet means strength, unless you have some evidence...

Re: Proper Fold???
easy call. You are getting 2:1 and you are 3.6:1 to fill up and you have great implied odds if he has the straight. And he will be trying to pick up the pot with any 2 cards a huge lot of the time...

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
I can't really speak for ssnl. But what I see in the coaching videos, a solid style is a moneymaker. that doesn't mean that one has to be an übernit. Of course one has to open the game when one moves...

Re: Bluff catcher
I take the free card a lot here since I don't really want to get raised and I don't see a lot of hands that check/called the flop check/fold on the river. A lone K or J maybe. And the river is pretty...

this is so easy:
thread title: "value bet on river" = hero checked, it got checked through and he won against some weird pair.

I'm having the greatest results in a long time since I ditched all the balancing and other fancy stuff etc. People don't watch you. And the turnover is too great on the micro and small limits....

Re: Turned Set....value bet on river?
The limit is the problem. Anything is possible here. Top set=nuts for me on this limit always. Period. I still c/c here, because I don't want to get into bad habits /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: nl50 , folding AKo vs 3bet PF?
I think it's still a push and you'll get it HU vs MP very often. If SB realizes MP's style, he will 3bet with AJs, AQ, KQ, probably KJs, SCs etc. here and he will fold those hands to a push, I'm...

Re: Turned Set....value bet on river?
I c/c this river. I only fold to an overbet. The river card only helped a flush draw. If he has a straight, he already had it on the turn. You'll see any pair here a lot. People can't fold them.

Re: Should I stack off here against unknown?
I fold this preflop very often against an unknown.
I check/call this down. If he has AQ, KQ, QT or whatever, the money is going in. If he has a bigger flush, the money is going in, too. If he has...

Re: nl 10 top set c/red deep
I shove. Will you fold to a turn bet when the board doesn't pair in a big pot? Probably not. So get your money in now when you have best equity. This will be a 2pair a lot, btw.

Re: NL50 AK TPTK drawheavy board
28+15=43 which leaves hero with only 16 behind. Hero actually commited himself to the pot with his turn bet when he put in 30% of his starting stack there. I don't know if villain realizes that but...
