Re: Weak leads (way too late pooh-bah?) tl;dr
When I get a free flop in the BB, I'll donk low paired boards sometimes, whether I have it or not. I'll donk to slow down my opponent sometimes, usually with something like midpair + backdoor or...

Re: UTG Limpers
Don't worry about your stats.
If the guys behind you don't raise much and the limpers are calling stations, it is ok to limp along with speculative hands, hit and get paid. You know their range...

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
What do you guys use for a default 3-bet size with a caller in between? I usually just mash the pot button knowing they'll call with Ax or 66, but I'm taking some shots and it feels big. Maybe...

Re: Top set should fold?
Raise more on flop. You have two guys who appear to like their hands and you have the nuts.
Call turn. Villian has 66 here often enough. Plus you'll get to hear about how Stars is rigged, how...

Re: NL2 (lolz): Top set facing scary river
People here usually reserve "set" for a pocket pair in your hand, and call this "trips". So top set would be JJ in your hand on a JT7 board. I wish it was standard as it tilts me talking to live...

Re: Turn and River Bluff
He doesn't cbet on this board into two people--he could be waiting for a safe turn or trying to keep the pot small or seeing what both of you do or slowplaying. Be sure you are telling a good story...

Re: NL 10: Call Stations, What To Do?
These guys can't read your range, they can barely read the board. Play straightforward and get paid by valuebetting.
You will hit the flop occasionally, so you aren't always putting 10BBs at risk...

Re: General Theory: Blocker bets
I don't think blocking bet situations come up very often since we are frequently betting for value.
Preflop: Hero is BB with T/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. ...

Re: Table Selection
Select tables that fit your style. If you don't like a table after a couple of orbits, leave. Get a few buddies and search for them. I usually go for the highest flop %, but after a few beers I...

Re: Gutshot turns into trips...confused
Flop call is fine as played, but Lostit's ideas are better..
Raise turn. You didn't hit the nuts, but it is one of the cards you were looking for. (If your read is that he's strong and you want...

Re: NL25 - 3-Bet Light 55, squeeze
I like the PFR sometimes. I'm betting this flop, even though there are two opponents, they both checked to me and I 3 bet.
I'd raise the weak turn bet and fold if UTG wakes up.
UTG+1 could...

Re: NL50 SH - QQ PF AI
He's new to the table and already has $80 so I'm calling since I assume he's overaggressive. We probably have about 30% equity against a sane player.

Re: What do i do here on the flop? 25nl
SPQR: Until proven otherwise, I consider people who buy-in short or let their stacks get below ~75-80% of a full buy in to be poor players. Button also makes a min raise. Sometimes you'll see JJ+...
