Limit change rules for an existing cash game...
Just a question for players about their local card room rules.
An entire table is playing 1-2 NL, and the game has been live for several hours. Many of the players want to raise the limit and...

Re: management argue
Also,
The fact that some decision makers felt that an all-in raise of 1300 could then be "rased" to 1400 was asinine to me. I have no idea how to justify that decision.

Re: management argue
With all due respect to the card barns, I feel that they are wrong. I think the Hawaiin Gardens rule is better, but problematic as well.
The "double the bet rule" has merits, but takes away from...

Re: Is there logic behind this rule??
There is some logic to the rule. In a tournament, if you tell a guy what you have, and it's true, you are sof playing. You are gicing out information that allows the other player to make a decision...

Re: management argue
In the Hawaiian Gardens double the bet rule, which bet are you doubling? The bey, the raise, or the total calling amount?

Re: management argue
I also think that most software in online poker would make the min-raise 1400. This is why so many people are of the opinion that the min raise is 1400

Re: management argue
I say 1500. Although the 100 does not count as a "raise", any raise must be at least the size of the previous raise. Would the situation be different if the player went all in for 1075? It changes...

Re: Heads up agreement?
Poker is an individual game, not a team sport. The scoring system for poker is money, and oddly enough one of the precepts from macroeconomics can be applied.
Every person will act in his/her own...

Re: the real truth on harrahs rake increases
It is very sustainable if you treat it as a gaming option for your guest as opposed to a primary stream of revenue for your property. Like many other amenities a casino offers, they serve as...

Re: JC Tran Controversy at Foxwoods
The negative is that how could we determine if he was chip dumping or stealing? There is no way to know. By killing his hand you ensure that he can chip dump, because at that point he has no way to...

Re: JC Tran Controversy at Foxwoods
The problem with this is that it forces the floorperson or TD to decide whteher or not it was a legitimate "play" at the pot, or if it was collusion. For example:
A player moves all in and is...
