lol, it's acceptable if the big rule board clearly states in (in bold letters)

That's tough too. If the dealer wasn't doing anything useful he likely had no idea what the pot value should be, or who made what bets.

Nothing wrong with this at all. In fact only an idiot bets into a dead side pot when trying to eliminate a player in a tourney. I would be more irritated if I was one of the players with chips left...

I've looked into the legality behind it, In Canada and sort of home poker is technically illegal. That being said, the only time a poker game has ever been busted around here has been high stakes...
