Re: **Official** uNL BBV Thread - November
Had some history with this villain, he pretty much sucked as you can tell by what he showed down.
Best thing is, I'm not at all tilted, I had 150BB left and I kept playing to get my chips and the...

Re: TT, fold right?
I think he often plays an overpair like this. AKdd and AQdd are also in his range, and the odd AK, AQ getting aggro at your donk bet.
So lets see, JJ+ is 24 hands against which we have ~9% equity,...

Re: KK check-raised on an TTx flop
I guess your suggestion is a "find out where we're at" type of raise. I get the feeling these have gone out of fashion, nowadays people are more concerned about hand ranges.
If we put 14 dollars...

Re: KK check-raised on an TTx flop
Tricky spot, do you think a 19/16 is defending his blind to a UTG raise with JT, QT, KT or AT to a UTG+1 raise? I don't think I would defend with such hands. This could be an underpair deciding this...

Re: NL10 - Good river for a blocking bet?
[ QUOTE ]
this is a tough spot given villains stack size is about a PSB... i suppose you could bet about 3 and fold but even that would be questionable with the odds you get. id say check/calling...

Re: NL10 - Good river for a blocking bet?
Thinking about this some more, I think cc/cf is best. I've narrowed villain's range down to 9x and draws, possibly 88, so betting is fairly pointless here, all it does is prevent a bluff. 88 is the...

NL10 - Good river for a blocking bet?
Villain was a bit on the donkish side, limp called with weak aces, suited junk etc. No stats, I'm playing without PAHUD.
I never block bet, I don't really get when to use it. To me it acts as a...

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
Goofyballer talks about sizing 4bets in his NL50 vid, that with 100bb stacks our light 4bets need to be smaller than pot sized to leave us with leverage (ie allow us to fold), and thus our 4bets for...

Re: River bluff with low pocket pair
One reason is that MP might 4-bet and then we'll have to fold. Another is that we are OOP so our implied odds go down.
Edit: And ama points out we are effectively 100BB deep against the CO 3...

Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II
And I pretty much stacked him, in a 400BB pot with KK, he check called flop and turn with QT on a J9x board, shoved the river when missing.
He had about 20BB left but has worked it back to 200BB...

Re: A2s flops a big draw, PL $50 6m
Except he has fold equity, is paying 32 to win 38 + 32 and is on the turn so is ~20% to make the flush.
To be honest, I think I'd take the free card here. You've got a read that the guy is a bit...

Re: NL50 AK TPTK drawheavy board
I don't think there is only 15 behind, villain (SB) just chose to make a small bet.
Edit: I meant that the villain hasn't put us all in with a $15 bet.

Re: NL50 AK TPTK drawheavy board
I call out of frustration here sometimes, I figure he has the flush, but justify the call on the fact that he payed 15 on the turn to win 58 with slightly worse than 4:1 odds (unless he had a combo...
