Re: Guitar Hero III
Some of these songs I'd never have listened to in a million years and they're really starting to grow on me. I made a 'guitar hero' playlist on itunes and downloaded all of the songs I didn't...

Re: Guitar Hero III
The only song I 5*d on my first try on hard was Paranoid, but I might have been lucky. The easiest song so far on hard would be Bulls On Parade if I had to guess.

Re: Guitar Hero III
It's been said before but merits repeating. Practicing the bass parts on hard or expert REALLY helped me learn alt- strumming and orange note shifts.

Re: Mario Galaxy
[ QUOTE ]
There are definitely some harder/irritating levels that I've managed to blow 5 lives on so far(40 stars) even though the overall game is relatively easy. It is just like any other mario...

Re: Guitar Hero III
I've just begun hard. Got through the first 2 tiers without failing anything, but also only 3*ing everything. I'm going to go and get at least 4* on all those songs before trying to go any further....

Re: Guitar Hero III
I wish there were some way in practice mode (and if there is let me know) that you could practice several consecutive chunks in a row without stopping. I'm trying to practice the solo in Cult of...

Collin Moshman SNG strategy
I bought this book to help my SNG game as I'm just beginning to add these to my regular play. It advocates very tight play early on, which I agree with to an extent, but he goes so far as to...

Re: Mario Galaxy: 97 on Metacritic
OK, I was a little bit off. The other player CAN help Mario jump and push enemies out of the way as well as spin Mario. We found this out by accident and now it annoys me. Guess my wife's going to...

Re: Mario Galaxy: 97 on Metacritic

On topic, can anyone say a word about the co-op. The IGN review mentions it in the end, but first calls it "co-op", then calls it "semi-co-op mode". What's the dealio?

Re: Rock Band
So, if I can use my guitar from GH3, can I just buy the game and play it as, like, Guitar Hero 3.1, without needing the extra instruments? Or will I not be able to hear anything but guitar, then? ...

Re: Mario Galaxy: 97 on Metacritic
Not to cross-pollinate threads here, but I wish the Simpson's Game had the fluid motion and camera work of Galaxy. Having to constantly reset the camera in that game turns it from a solid B+ game...

Re: How do you handle this?

By and large the player is right, it's not a problem and it's not affecting anything. But what I usually say to diffuse it, as friendly as I can, is, "yeah, it's usually not a problem...
