Hello! Hypothetically speaking, assume U read ur Oppo....

for a concealed set on 4th. U have a very live 4-flush. UR Oppo.'s hand is also very live.
The pot is laying u 10 to 1 to continue playing on 4th.
How would U proceed?
Just wondering--Hmmm...

Hello! jbixit! I agree with MRB---

If U play live,U might want to view Caro's video "tells" and start reading "The Psychology of Poker" by Dr. Schoonmaker.

Hello,Jeffage! I generally agree with Andy--with some exceptions--,

With ante between 10% and 15% of the small bet with a live 2 flush,I would see 4th Str. and continue on with any improvement on 4th. But remember, this is a VERY MARGINAL AND VULNERABLE PLAY....

Hello, stanski! Since U have a regular job and very little overhead,

do not waste UR energy with "bankroll management"
U can always replenish UR bankroll with the income U make from UR regular job---UNLESS U frequently play at limits that will quickly deplete UR...

Hello,Captain! UR always looking to scoop the pot...

in high/low.
With 3 kings showing,UR chances of a scoop are very slim.
There is a fair chance that U still might split the low share. In other words,UR hand is feeding the high end.
Hence,UR hand...

Hello,Brad! If U will play this hand on 4th Str. in 1/2 game,...

there is no reason NOT to play the same way in a higher limit game.
If U fear being raised from behind, then U should NOT play 4TH in a 1/2 game either.
Or is it that the 1/2 players are more...

Hello,Istream! One MUST play looser when playing...

heads-up. If one is conservative, then he will usually bust out of the game.
One MUST struggle more for ante recoupment in this type of game in order to survive.

Hello,Dsaxton! Folding on 5th would have been correct....

When U bet UR single pair and he raised U,that's usually an indication that he at least have UR one pair beat.
Making a strong play on an expensive round does not make much sense unless the player...

Hello,Worm! Remember,I stated \"Hypothetical\"...

This was NOT a REAL situation.
However, even if one does NOT know what his Oppo. has in the hole,it's worth betting out if his Oppo. exhibits passiveness.

Hello,Phat! Worm and Andy are correct about ...

attempting a bluff.

My reasoning is as follows:

In a situation like this,no player will call UR bet MORE than 80% of the time on the average over time.

The pot will ALWAYS be laying U at...

Hello! Paired doorcard VS ante structure

In general,a paired doorcard from a player in a high ante game is not indicative of a strong combined hand.
The reason is that a player is usually playing looser hands on 3rd.
Since the game is...
