Re: Things it took me a while to learn part 1, Stack Sizes

I like this post. It seems I have problem in 14-20bb where I tried to steal the blinds and causing me a lot of troubles which lead to the poor MTT results recently.

Re: Discuss: How to Bluff a Calling Station

Great one. I only played with Foucault once in a DS but I can still remember that hand he bet every street against another player and that player folded on river only to see foucault showing a bluff.

Dealing with downswing

I mainly played STT and MTT and had positive ROI in PS $16 STT (14% ROI in about 400 games) and $22 STT in other site (30% ROI in about 100 games) and also positive ROI in MTT for over 400 games...

Sweat: 10 game cashing streak

Just reviewed my Poker Tracker Stats and noticed I had a 10-game cashing streak in STT on 1 site, including 8-game head-up streak and 3-game winning streak, in last week.

Re: OT - general player statistics?

[ QUOTE ]
my PT database of about 600,000 observed hands shows about 1/3 of cash game players (give or take 1%) are profitable and 2/3 are not.

definition of profitable: up $0.01c or more over...

Re: is it a leak ? maybe a silly question

Many variables you will need to analyse your situation.

Raiser stack size
Raiser position
No. of players left
No. of players remained to act
Stack size of players after you acted
Your read of...

Re: 16s: JJ & 86

1. calling flop is ok

2. Shove preflop unless you think he limped with big hand

Re: 16s: A9, A6 : How bad are these reraises?

During bubble in STT, while you can still shove a lot of hands, you need to call very tight unless you are the largest stack or the smallest stack. IMO A9s isn't good enough to call in SB given the...

Re: $6.50 AJ Multiway Pot

easy fold. When someone shoved and then someone called you need to play much tighter.

Re: $16 ITM (2 hands)

1st hand flop bet could be smaller.

2nd hand shoving 30BB with 66 is very bad.

Re: $16 A2s from sb

I don't think calling PF is that bad with a reasonable hand, even though you don't want to mess with the big stack.

Flop checking might be better you want to see how the big stack does before you...

Re: AK w/ 10bb after 2 limpers... i push... sngwiz says otherwise?

I think SnG Wiz's model has problem when someone called or raised before you because other than open or call range, your limping/raising opponents have limping/raising range and calling to a reraise...

Re: $33T - another AK decision

BB only had 135 chips so why it's so strange.

I won't fold this given pot odd of 1.7 and having the biggest stacks.

Re: 16: AKs good hand?

I don't know how many times I pushed AK and only find the villains holding AQ or below so if you think he's loose you may shove otherwise folding is ok. If you call you better push flop as a stop &...

Re: LC: Poll, AQo UTG early in a Stars SnG

Limp or raise are fine for me. Folding is too tight to me unless you have no confidence of playing post-flop, then you may well go all in with your AA or KK preflop because you will be harder to get...

Re: 16: JJ vs good sharkscope player

My experience the players of this ROI in $16 usually played like 10% VPIP or maybe even less so I guess loxxii's range of TT+, AQ+ could be right. If it is this range JJ may not be very good. There...

Re: 11$t- AKo cold call vs bigstack and raise against weak flop bet

just shove pf. No room for you to play flop.

Flop raise is too small might just push him.

Re: $16 Regrettable cooperation play

FYI SB played about 50% of the pot so there's no reason to believe he can't raise a hand worse than TPTK here. My shove might be reckless but I don't think I will fold to a 1/3 river bet here.
