Re: Turkey Talk: Win a beer.
I once flopped trips and 2 sets in one orbit, live. I only won 2 of the hands though, and one was with Aces and didn't get paid well.

Re: Turkey Talk: Win a beer.
Clearly they held 24o and 53o respectively. well, the 53 might have been suited. You held pocket 8s. And you still go to the 8/16 unless you are willing to risk life tilt.

Re: STT - 9T from SB flops top pair
I 3-bet the flop and lead the turn. If I got 4-bet on the flop, I'd have started calling down. As played, river is a very nice play. I've played a lot of No Limit SNGs, but have not seen nor read...

ETA: Why is everyone so concerned about this turn checking thru (i.e. check if 95% sure button will bet for us)? This is not even close to being a disaster and is probably a lot more...

Re: Smooth Calling a 3-bet PF with AA
I lied...I have limp/re-raised with AA with maniacs behind me. But I've never declined to 3,4 or 5 bet.
One more thing: If you put him on JJ+, which is very reasonable, you should note that...

Re: Smooth Calling a 3-bet PF with AA
I have never called when raising was an option PF in limit holdem, and it's working out pretty well for me. I prefer a raise pf...sure it's deceptive, but against two opponents right now your equity...

Beat: Sold fantasy season for Brett Favre
Last week, just before the trading deadline, I worked a complicated 3-way fantasy trade that thinned out a deep WR corp and left my running back stable un-handcuffed. My gain? Brett Favre instead...

Re: 68s monster pot
My two cents:
Just limp pf, like everyone says. But raising can't be terrible. I agree that once the BB accidentally pops you, you really should have just capped it. I mean, you said you wanted...

Re: 2 Pair with 4-straight on board
I'm not sure about the turn bet...If you got popped by the CO, looks as though the pot is big enough to draw at your boat. All in all, though, I think betting makes the most sense.
