Re: A straight on the flop - I folded it. ($5)
First hand is pretty terrible, there is no reason to ever fold this.
Second hand is dependent on reads. I probably fold vs. an unknown since your stack is still in decent shape, but it's a tough...

Re: $16: Flop spew feat. river FPS
As played, raising the river seems like an interesting idea given the board and villain's weak bet, but it's pretty marginal. I'm usually folding the flop to avoid situations like this early on.

Re: A-Q bubble play
If villain is a solid player, I tend to believe a standard raise is usually a much stronger holding in these spots than an open push. I'm probably folding this most of the time. With AK, I dunno,...

Re: 16: I thought this was a fairly standard push
BB's call isn't that terrible. He must know that he's way ahead of your range, and if he wins, he's a huge favorite to win 1st. If he loses, he's still got a few chips to try to sneak into 3rd with...

Re: $16 - J8s vs solid regular
I think just completing preflop is bad. You are out of position the rest of the hand, and by showing weakness, you are giving villain a chance to push you out before you see a flop. I don't mind...

Re: 1-table S&Gs - your feedback requested
[ QUOTE ]
One thing I can tell you is that the 150/300-25 level is likely to be added soon.
Further question, if you don't mind: what do you prefer, 9-handed or 10-handed... and why?

Re: $16 - A9 in SB vs Karate Kid
I don't mind the pf raise, but I'm just check/folding this flop. With your read, villain is unlikely to fold to a c-bet, so just give up and move on to the next hand.

Re: $16 - A3 SB early vs LAGG
Either raise preflop or fold. You don't want to play a mediocre hand out of position. With the blinds this small, I'm usually folding.

Re: Push or c/f when pf stealing get called?
Raising to 300 is excessive. 150 should be fine unless the blinds are especially loose, in which case you might want to reconsider stealing with 98. I'll usually throw out a c-bet of about half the...

Re: 1-table S&Gs - your feedback requested
What do people think about getting rid of the 100/200 level altogether and going straight to 100/200/25 with an added 150/300/25 level? Somehow I like that idea better than jumping from 100/200...

Re: Why aren\'t Stars $35s popular?
Yeah I guess that's true, but even taking into account the regs who care about rake, I would think there would still be lots of casual players who would play them. It seems like if you took away all...

Why aren\'t Stars $35s popular?
There are always a ton of $27s and $60s running on Stars, but very few $35s. Why is this? I guess the rake is a bit higher, but I don't know if that explains it all.

Re: 16s: Bad Fold?
I just push preflop. As played, I think you have to call. I'm not exactly sure what hands he would play in this way (reads?), but I suspect either you are behind or he has a draw.
