Re: QQ - turn K - call river?

Without a specific read I think this is an easy fold. You think he's bluffing with AQ/99? Much more likely he's got ak,aa,or ak. If he's 3 betting too much I could be convinced to call here, but I...

Re: 3-6NL Did I get Taken to School?

If I checked the river how often will I induce a bet from a hand I have beat? Also, I think this probably is an easy fold against most, but how often am I going to show up with the straight in this...

Re: 76 flops 2 pair against reg and donk

This seems like a totally standard line to me, and I would expect to get paid off by a big ace a fair amount of time. Your not getting away from the hand either way, so I guess the real question is...

3-6NL Did I get Taken to School?

I recently opened a stars account and am building up my online role playing 3-6 NL. This session I've been playing like 20/18, and playing pretty aggressively post flop. Villain is running at...

Re: 1000NL - Folding the nut flush in pos on turn

Calling a raise pre flop against a guy playing with 55bb can't be profitable unless he is either check folding a ton of flops, unbelievably predictable, or you are comfortable getting it in on a flop...

Re: playing toppair passively

I think betting here is good a lot of the time, especially since you'll sometimes want to double barrel in this spot with air, repping that you have ace. You dont want to give the flush draw a free...

Re: Live 10-25 NL- Straight Flush Draw in the Muck

Thanks for all the comments. If I had known his exact stack size prior to my raise then bumping the flop to $1500 or so, and calling his raise makes a lot of sense to me. (Though I really thought...

Re: Live 10-25 NL- Straight Flush Draw in the Muck

Guess it just wasn't a great weekend of cards and folding one of the few quality hands I had was painful. I actually thought I'd get flamed pretty good for laying this down.

Live 10-25 NL- Straight Flush Draw in the Muck

Curious to see just how terrible the forum thinks I played this hand. Effective stacks $9350 (I cover). I raise first in from cutoff to $150 with 5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif8...

Re: Trying to get Trickier with my Draws

One reason I opted to get tricky here is that if I bet turn and villain has ak or kq, he would often call, but not pay me off if a spade hits on the river and I push. I guess this means if I'm in a...

Trying to get Trickier with my Draws

10-25 no-limit. I've been raising several times per orbit in this full ring game. No one is ever reraising, and I generally get at least 2-3 callers. I'm sitting with 10k and half the table has me...

Re: 10-25 with Mandatory Straddle...Overpair in Distress

Betting the flop is my standard line, and it certainly makes this hand easier to play. If I had bet flop and turn and then gotten raised, I would feel pretty good about pitching it. Does that mean...

10-25 with Mandatory Straddle...Overpair in Distress

Just sat down in this game. Third hand I get k /images/graemlins/heart.gifk /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and raise it to $250 from middle position. Cutoff and button both call. Effective stacks...

Re: AC 10-25 River Surprise

As I posted previously I folded and villain mucked, so I don't know whether I was beat or not. I agree with you Mike that if villain didn't think I would give him credit for a big river check raise...

Re: Deepstacked weaksauce vs twin

I'm not saying he won't value bet AA or AK. I'm saying most good players don't bet these hands on the river and then pay of hero's raise. Does Ansky really bluff raise the river frequently enough...

Re: Deepstacked weaksauce vs twin

Aren't most players (not too familiar with twin) check calling the river with one pair hands such as AK or AA. If he will bet these on river, do we really expect him to pay off our raise? The way...

Re: Deepstacked weaksauce vs twin

Looks just about perfect to me. Don't really think he can be value betting any hands on river that you beat (besides A9 which you said is not in his range). That means it's air or he has a bigger...

Undo Prefered Seat on Stars?

How does one undo the preferred seat once you've selected one? This is messing with Poker Ace and stars support hasn't responded to my emails.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for all the feedback. Thought I might get flamed for folding here, but guess my play wasn't too ridiculous. Villain didn't show so I have no idea whether I was beat or not. At the time I...

Re: AC 10-25 River Surprise

Turn and river bets may have been too small. Until villain showed river aggression I thought it was very possible he just had a big queen, and I was trying to make bets I thought he could call. ...
