Re: RENO Winter Pot of Gold.....dec 7-16
So do you register for these in advance or just show up? Do they fill (I'm looking at the weeknight 7pm $100 + $20 if it make any difference)? It would be bad to make the drive and then find out I...

Re: Help: Selling Action in Tournaments?
Hey Adam,
My other thread on this topic got locked (??) so I'll say thanks here. I searched a year back, then ate dinner, then posted w/o noticing my question has been asked already. And I guess...

Please help Re: selling shares of my PCA seat
I was fortunate enough to win a PCA package and I’ll be taking my family with me. It occurred to me that I could pay for some of the extra travel expenses by selling shares of myself in the event. ...

Re: The 16s on PokerStars
Yeah, the low rake attracts a lot of grinding regs. You can't avoid them completely, but there are always lots of tables running, so if I see too many regs setting up sets, I just wait a few...

Given the structure of this tourney, your reads, and your non-desperate stack size I can find a fold here.

Re: 16s: Bad Fold?
Getting 4:1 postflop makes this a call, even if you're pretty sure you're behind. Even if he has a pair your AK still has a fighting chance. He could also have AQ, AJ, KQ. With the BB out of the...

I agree with many of the comments above. Before my first major live tourney a few years ago, I'd only played online and never played poker in a casino. A few friends took me out and we played a few...

Re: W$ to spend for a PCA ticket
I like the step 3 idea, too. Also when you get to step 6 at least you can do a little table selection as you see who's sitting down. Should be able to get a softer "final table" than you'd end up...

Re: limping from the button
I fold preflop. Agree if that if you have to play, raise it up and hope they fold. On the flop I probably fold and wish I hadn't limped preflop. On the turn I check, then fold for the third time.

Re: Step 4: Whats your shoving range?
I'm really curious to see the replies here. I can't picture myself shoving anything here. A shove seems to say "please don't call" in this spot, doesn't it? Were there some weird table dynamics...
