Re: NL25 - Flopped trips in BB vs Flush
The main reason to call here is that it's a blind-v-blind situation. A few thoughts:
1. Your preflop raise was a bit on the large side. I'd usually raise to either $0.75 or $1 as my standard...

Re: Flopped straight. -> ulgy turn+river
This hand is not good.
Preflop is usually a fold, here. You're going to be OOP against a player who likes his hand and you're holding a weak and easily dominated hand -- I would usually just let...

Re: NL25 - KK stack sizes
Preflop is good -- you have the best hand and you want the money in the middle as quickly as possible.
The flop is a shriveler -- you have to cringe every time you see an ace on the flop when you...

Re: NL25 QQ in RR pot, turn desicion
You called preflop intending to get it all-in on a safe flop. Conditional commitment is good poker strategy. Good.
You checked the flop intending (I hope) to fold to a bet. Since the flop...

Re: Shocking AK hand, be gentle...
I'm much more unhappy about your flop play than your preflop play.
Preflop is usually bad because AK plays best heads up, suffers badly from RIO, and doesn't do well OOP. A big and punishing...

Re: 10nl: AK 3 way pot
I see little reason to raise the flop.
First of all, the donk-bettor is on our immediate right. If we raise we blow SB out of the pot for sure and we really announce that we've got an ace of some...

Raise the Turn. You have the best hand no need to get fancy. Raise when in a multi-way pot. Anywhere from $.80 - $1.20 is good. Certainly call the all-ins.

Re: Poker math quiz: evaluate this hand.
Since this thread seems to have run its course, let me make my own comments to summarize my thinking.
On the flop I think hero has a close but +EV call. We're getting 25-to-7, or 3.5-to-1 odds,...
