Calling all ins when the price is right
Is it ever correct in a tournament or sng to pass on calling an all in bet when the price is right? For example, someone goes all in on the flop and you are getting 3/1 pot odds but you are 2/1 to...

Re: Why do I tighten up when big stacked?
I only play Sit n Go's and cash games. In cash games having the big stack is pretty much irrelevent but in a sit n go, I try to bully the medium sized stacks as they are the ones who have the most to...

Equity Question
I'm trying to incorporate range and equity calculations into my game but I've got a question about a fairly basic calculation I was trying to work out in my head.

Re: Best book on hand reading, ranges etc
[ QUOTE ]
I found that Largay's book was quite good at giving examples on reading hand ranges - i.e. there was a statement where Largay mentioned if a guy was a big book reader, then you can expect...

Best book on hand reading, ranges etc
Just re-reading PNL and I love the REM sections (Range, Equity, Maximise). Just think that they could've been longer though as it's such an important subject and one that many players find difficult....

Re: Acceptable loss rate from the blinds
After 25,000 hands I'm losing 0.16 from the big blind and 0.11 from the small blind. The figures were higher but I've managed to bring them down by changing my game a bit. Wasn't sure if this was an...

Aggressive bankroll management
I know the accepted wisdom is that you should have 20 buy ins for NL cash games. Would it be considered a mistake to start taking shots when you have 11 buy ins if you accept that you will step back...

Re: Our old friends variance
I've got his book. Just going through a terrible run of bad beats but I've been through it before so I know it'll come to an end. It's just a matter of riding it out.

Our old friends variance
What does everyone do when a big downswing hits them?
Personally I've gone on a 22 game run in Sit N Go's without even cashing (ROI was 16% over 800 games prior to this). On a brighter note I've...

Re: TPTK out of position. $25nl
AQ is one of those hands I can never quite make my mind up how to play from early position, sometimes I raise and sometimes I just limp. There's been a lot of raising at the table so I was happy...

TPTK out of position. $25nl
Villain is 27/13 over 123 hands and has won 75% of hands at showdown.
Is my line too passive here with TPTK or am I right to keep the pot relatively small? Also, Villains bet on the end is...
