Re: Where is the line?
for the board in question, he definitely did have a weak made hand. he had trips with worst kicker (52s). he could have easily been up against A5s or the flush draw that came in.

Miller & Sklansky on pg. 189 of their NL book write "tough players usually won't call three significant bets without being able to beat top pair."
A short number of pages later Miller is...

Missing Information in Jack and Jill
There is missing information in Jack and Jill.
1. The B/R requirements depend on win rate, std deviation and time period. If you assume LHE from the article then you are also assuming a "normal"...

Re: Exploiting a Secret
If everyone knew the secret then it would not be an advantage. Assume the .25 BB to be a maximum limit based on the number of people that know about it, such that when there is 1, the advantage is...

Re: JJ --> Big Pot

Re: My 1st post - Really bad games
Great suggestion on writing down events. What I do is to play standard, but after the 3rd time, I back off. So I consider the session to be normal, but if I get 4-5 cold callers on 3 in a row when...

Re: My 1st post - Really bad games

Re: My 1st post - Really bad games

Villian limps pre-flop, this says:
a) He doesn't have a strong enough hand to iso an utg limper
b) He has a m/w hand
c) He's just an idiot
The only hands you are worried about are T7,57,and 66....
