Re: Other Uses for Amaretto

We use it for flaming Dr. Pepper shots. Pour a shot of amaretto into a shot glass. Pour a 151 floater on top. Light on fire. Drop into 1/2-3/4 of a beer in a glass (pretty much anything works,...

Re: Changing it up w/AA OOP

[ QUOTE ]
I had a feeling that I may have been out-thinking myself with this play.
Is there ever a situation where this would be more profitable than playing it fast?

Re: 1/2 JT to passive on the flop?

I would fold this preflop, I would probably just bet out on the flop. But the way you played it, raise it up on the flop. I'd fold the river against this passive guy.

Re: Is a flop bet mandated here?

Grunch: The pot is big, its time to play aggressively and take some risks. You have the two Back door draws plus the OCs, so bet the flop and play it like you have an OP, you just may fold someone...

Re: QQ Hand

Ouch!!! I would have lost a lot more on this hand as villain played it as if he had a smaller set. This type of hand is very disheartening.

Re: Reviewed hand, still confused with ATs

Grunch:
It seems to me that you're right about not having the equity for a flop raise to be profitable. I think it is profitable though, because it is a straightforward application of the free card...

Re: odd hand, advice please

Grutch:
Looks good to me, I like the flop raise. I'd probably bet the river, though I'm not sure if this is EV+ against the villian's range, it seems that he may call with enough hands to justify. ...

Re: Good time to wait for the turn with a flopped set?

I like it, flop pot is pretty small, and you can get some extra bets in by not blowing the field away with a raise. Not many draws besides the flush, and they're hanging around anyway.

Re: Q3s BB. FPS xtreme!

I'm thinking bet the flop, and if not, definately bet the turn, I'd be scared of him checking behind.

Re: I felt dirty

I like it, in that position the flop raise has a good chance of improving your odds of winning the hand, so I'd probably raise there as well.

Re: Calling Station vs top pair

That's poker. Good line though, usually the only one you can take against calling stations, just value bet like crazy.

Re: Playing a flush draw

Plus the fact that you might get a free card at a passive table like this.

Vulnerable full house

An odd hand that kinda froze me up, curious as to what you guys think about it. Not really sure what I was thinking preflop, I guess it looked like a profitable situation and maybe a little boredom....
