Re: SB Special: value bet or check raise?
I would check the flop, because you dont know whether you will get enough callers to make your bet for value.
It also tends to make your hand obvious to some players when you bet a flush draw on...

To my surprise everyone checked the flop, but I'm still not sure that means I'm ahead of BTN who is scared to bet a K. I think SB would have bet the turn if he had a hand. If I bet I'm...

Re: QQ on AKx flop (shorthanded)
That is a gross flop !
I would not make a flop c-bet, because I dont think that your opponents are likely to fold and your hand is weak.
I would check and see what the remaining 2 players...

Re: AJs cold call and scary flop
I think that this is a fold on the flop.
You are behind most of a reasonable pf raise range for UTG, with perhaps 5 outs in an 8 sb pot.
8:1 is enough odds to call if your outs are all good....

Re: .50/1.00
I think the difference between 0.25/.50 and 0.50/1.00 is that generally speaking the players at 0.25/0.50 seem more passive.
I think that you will probably find that you will get more preflop...

Re: AK - line check
Thanks for the responses.
I could see MP raising the flop with something like KQ, so I felt that 3-betting the flop was correct.
I also doubted whether my hand was good after MP raised the...

Re: KK faces A on turn against TP villain
If you are sure that villain is passive and is unlikely to bluff (can you ever be sure ?), then I would bet/fold the turn.
However, the way villain has played his hand, by raising pf, calling a pf...
