Re: 100NL KK vs. agg. villian
Until an ace comes down, I might go broke on this hand against two aces, or a set of queens, nines or twos. But you would be a slight favorite against a hand like A9 of clubs or against AQ which are...

Re: Looseness and moving up levels.
I personally like the 100xBB to 150xBB Bankroll strategy.
So if you play .5/1 you should go to 1/2 once you hit 200-300 dollars. If you lose a bunch and go down to 50-75 dollars, you should...

Re: Micro AA2x one suit....thoughts?
I like the bet on the flop, you have a good heads up hand.
The turn CO raise should scare you a lot, now that no low is possible, your A2 is useless, but you now have the flush draw and still have...

Re: Patching Leaks Part 2
Right, I think my biggest leak is just recognizing possible hands of opponents, I was good at it in HE, but when it goes 2 ways I seem to lock my brain up in the thought process of "these are all...

Re: Micro LO8 - Wheel and 6-high straight flop.
Well the problem with that turn, is that it gives anyone with a 2 and a wheel card the nut low, which means a great deal of people, even the fishies who play anything the nut low meaning the low will...

Re: Micro LO8 - Wheel and 6-high straight flop.
That flop is very nice, but don't be surprised if someone has the flush draw, and maybe someone else has the 7 high straight, so they may be freerolling on this hand hoping they complete their high...

Re: Patching some leaks in my game
Well the flop bet was to eliminate anyone going for the low or atleast make them pay more than the odds they get for the backdoor low, the turn bet was because I think I have issues slowing down (get...

Patching some leaks in my game
So I figured after I had a long run of bad beats and bad play on my part I'd go through PTO and find my recent horrible hands that I've played and lost money on and ask for advice.
For this...

Re: Bayesian donking
I agree, that J may have won you even more money, as a bad player with a flush draw thinking you didn't have the boat could be betting into you. And the fact that only the AJ or JJ has you beat,...

Re: PL 25
Unlucky river card, and with a horrible low and a nut flush, I don't think UTG+1 made a very good play calling all the way down with that hand when A2, A4, 24 has him beat for low and people are...

Re: Probably played this wrong, but any comments?
Alright thanks, this is where I am a fish out of water, I'm used to playing for the nuts and don't play high hands very well except for of course when you hit the nut straight/flush/fullhouse.
So...

Re: Throw me a bone
o8poker.com is a great place to start (props go out to gergery).
To support the 2+2 peeps here, go grab yourself Ray Zee's book on the subject, and I also enjoy the O8 article in Super System 2...

Re: Grind it out or hit and run?
Ok I like that, sounds like bailing after making a huge pot and everyone knowing that I'm tight isn't such a horrible idea, especially with lots of good tables everywhere. Unless I think I threw...

Re: PLO8 starting hands with ev
AA29 doesn't have backup potential and the 9 can't make any straights with the other cards.
Where as AA25 allows for you to still make the nut low if your 2 gets counterfitted, and still allows...

Grind it out or hit and run?
Now I know for Hold Em, that you should stick around if you are winning, because people will fear you, and fear that you are on a good streak.
However is this still true for O8? I remember...
