Re: KK PF after limpers (10+1)

If you're shortstacked (M<7), there's already 6k in the pot and your raise is either not going to scare anyone away (very likely) or it will take the pot, which increases your stack by a very large...

CO+1 has 1700 left behind... so he's looking to get it all in too. so i'd check hoping he puts it all in, button calls, BB folds, you push overtop... A B C.

Re: flopped set, slow play or bet out?

0evg0, you don't seem to understand. When you're making that 3xBB raise, you need to build the pot because you know you're hitting your trips. If you're not gonna hit your trips, folding is...

Re: flopped set, slow play or bet out?

show me a hand that limps in from LP that's going to beat him after this flop? I'd really only say 55, 66, 77, 88, 56s, 67s (I'd say 88+ is raising PF). A PSB here is a big overbet that says, "I'm...

Re: flopped set, slow play or bet out?

If you've got a super-tight image and you're open limping from late position, you have a big leak in that you don't ever steal blinds. Learn to do that.

That aside, yeah, what others are saying,...

Re: How do I decide when to call SB with respect to my stack & the bli

Big waste of chips when you're calling with M<5. You need to keep those chips to make your double ups more valuable and your steals more likely to succeed. If you're thinking about playing with...

Re: AJ Sooted followed by plenty of Action in a 4/180

Ummm.... yeah... this happens all the time at low buy ins. Get with the program guys. If the average player is going to get excited about A2+, you can almost play A9+ (still being ahead of his...

Re: Newest Identifiable leak in my game.

The problem you're running into is that in the 5-table tournaments, the blinds raise fast enough that nobody has any chips when you get down to the FT bubble and are sitting at short tables. You...

Re: KK Hand with midly co-ordinated flop facing overbet

You've correctly corrected my terminology here... I know this is not a "read" in the standard sense of the word, but I was kinda lazy and it's similar enough.

I would personally find a better spot...

Re: KK Hand with midly co-ordinated flop facing overbet

Clearly a push or fold situation. As this is your second hand at the table, he probably sees you as a super agressive player. He's got a comparable stack. The hands that beat you are AA, JJ, 88,...

Re: I\'m full, buuuuttt...??

Hands that beat you:

22, 55, 66.

None of these check the flop. Easy push. You have enough outs on the turn to call a min-raise. (Minor side note: you don't want to get in the habit of...

Re: Shortstacked, Late, Facing a Raise with a Marginal Hand - +cEV? +$

We're sitting behind a guy who's pushing any two against the two short stack blinds. Not the guy who's pushing any two from middle position.

There's no reason to expect that the other players are...

Re: 180 man tourney, FT on button

You're short stacked here, and the blinds are valuable to you. You're pushing any two, they know you're pushing any two. You've got a better than average hand, so you might get called down by a...

Re: Call probably two all ins?

I don't know what MP1 is doing raising 4xBB with 1/3 his stack. Is there some read here? That'd be helpful. Button pushing says "I want to play. I don't have a big stack and he's got less than...

Re: Maximizing a flopped set as a big stack (Party 5r)

Meh, you're probably right.

No matter how timid she's gonna be, if she's got a high PP, AA or KK she'll repop you thinking she's got you beat after you raised her continuation bet. Then when you...

Humm...

Pot: 15,750

You: 61k
Him: 29k

You bet 10k, pot is now 25,750. He's got what's in the pot now, which basically makes his flush draw EV+ if it all went in here. If he's playing,...

Re: Which (winning) MTT players are Better -- Online or Live?

Yeah, totally two different games. Some (not many) of the best live players probably suck without the physical tells/intimidation factor of sitting there looking across at them, and some of the best...

Re: Maximizing a flopped set as a big stack (Party 5r)

And if it is timidness you're not going to get anything out of her by raising her. You'll get more out of her by calling behind until she checks.

And if she checks the river, might push to show...

Re: Maximizing a flopped set as a big stack (Party 5r)

If she's got a high pair, that bet on the flop is designed to get you to call, it's not timidness. I'd say your line so far is fine. Unless you have some read on her playing her overpairs slow to...
