Re: 5/10 -- Two river decisions
Hand1: I'm a bit unclear on this one. What was the point of the raise on the flop? Were you representing a flush draw or a 9? Doesn't seem like you have enough players in for a raise for a flush...

Re: small flush on river
My inexpert thinking... We're looking at two other players, both of whom really liked that 8s. I have to figure that both of them either have a flush or a straight or else they're total fish. ...

Re: Oh No You Di\'in\'t! (5/10)
Well, I can confirm that twice I've been check/raised on the turn by some idiot with delusions of world series of poker. Sadly for him, both times I had a reasonable hand and wasn't buying it. ...

Re: Does Ax have more value in 6 max?
I think the key here is _MORE_ value. Yes it does. But that isn't going to make a "group -" hand into something playable. In full ring, I fold AT and below. In 6 max, I'm playing A9 & A8 also.

Re: Number of hands needed to judge profit?
So the correct answer to this question is to use a combination of numbers that pokertracker provides to take your baseline bb/100 and put an error margin around it using standard deviation. There...

Re: 2/4 EP with QJs
I personally would've folded this preflop. There's just too many ways to get burned with QJ. Once you're in, I'm fine with the check on the flop, although a check-raise has it's appeal also. On...

Re: 5/10 Limping Aces in EP
[ QUOTE ]
Lets think about this, if you're going to limp AA, what is your plan in doing so? If you're going for the limp-reraise, this can create other problems. There was a time early on in my...

Re: Coldcalling PPs preflop
I see ALL pocket pairs as roughly the same. There are two different ways to play them.
a) Play them for the set.
In this case, I'm looking for myself and 4 opponents on the flop. Given how...

Re: Difference between Pot Equity and Win %
Just to add some confusion (although I think we're all saying thing in different ways)...
I see pot equity as something I consider if I'm thinking about folding. Let's say the action comes to me...

Re: RESULT
Why did you bet this flop? You've got ace-high in a small pot. There is only one other play in with you. You don't have the pot odds to a pair. Villain can have J79 or a small pocket pair. Do...

Re: How long do you stay at a loosing table?
[ QUOTE ]
You are correct, the use of "loosing table" was incorrect. I don't play mediocre hands, I play strong hands aggressively. When I sit at a table and see over 100 hands with no so much as...

Re: How long do you stay at a loosing table?
You're description of a "losing table" is entirely wrong which makes the rest of your question kind of hard to answer. In the scenario that you described, there was no losing table, only a losing...

Re: 2/4 AK utg, lots of action
Wow, with both K & J out on the board, a possible flush and straight, MP1 thought it'd be a good idea to raise his pocket tens? I can only assume he raised "for meta-game reasons" <laugh>
I can...

Re: Are the $3/6 games on Party always this bad?
Recently I've started a strategy at party 2/4 that seems to be working out well. What I do is is...
a) Pick some table NOT IN THE TOP 5 that has a short waiting list. The reasoning here is that...
