Re: New Software: Holdem Manager
Ok, fair enough, in the interests of being constructive for sheer novelty's sake, I'll elaborate. Don't use the 2+2 search function for this, view the entire thread in flat view, then show all (both...

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager
Depends on how you measure success, I feel much better and who knows, maybe the op will learn to use a search function though I'm not holding my breath.

This is your definition of owned? How about something as original as 'your mother dresses you funny' or something equally played out, I assume that meets your standard of owned?
RVG's time is...

Learn to use the search function in a browser & flat view, moron posts like this are partly why it's taking a long time to get updates, his time is better spent on other things besides compensating...

MySQL has funky licensing issues, see the PokerTracker forums for a detailed thread on what Pat went through with them, in the end, it was licensing not techinical reasons why he went that way and...

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager
Feature creep on this seems to be out of control. Lock down your features as is for now, finalize a db schema, prioritize your existing bugs and and fix the high severity ones and then put a HUD in...

Re: playing against ratholers
Most of the poker world isn't that tech savvy but the ammount of hand history data availible to even casual dataminers with minimal software expense and no expertise is immense, literally in the...

Guess what, the games won't last forever anyway, Poker AI and ever more advanced datamining will see to that and sooner than most on this board realize.

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager
I just became aware of the software and have a few quick questions.
#1. I have a fairly elaborate multiple machine datamining setup and I'm wondering if HM has any way of telling that a HH is a...

Re: playing against ratholers
I for 1 am not worried about that, I actually make most of my $ off of LAG's and too aggro TAG's and I'd rather they didn't get bled dry by SS's first becuase most of the $ a SS gets probably leaves...

Re: playing against ratholers
Your understanding of why short stacking works in higher stakes ring games is obviously poor if you do not realize how the strategy Luego mentions of slightly smaller raises when a SS is on the...

Re: playing against ratholers
First and foremost is simply to identify those that play often enough and have a decent bankroll that can't simply be defeated via variance. If you use PT/PAHud for nothing else simply identify...

Do you understand why the mistake is not raising light with a ss in the blinds but committing too many chips when you do it?

Re: playing against ratholers
Spare us this argument, it's not like it's news that with decent table selection short stacking can be profitable. And there's no shortage of advice out there already on how to do it either.

Re: playing against ratholers
Not necessarily true at all, a short stacks push range is quite narrow. It's fine to have a light raising range but if so commit fewer chips and don't make loose calls of a ss's push with suited...

Re: playing against ratholers
Finally someone offers at least some constructive advice on the subject. Since most short stacks are playing for money and they don't need huge bankrolls to play that style, donating that money to a...

Re: Update on Washington State Bills
I wouldn't give up yet, end of session is a very chaotic time in legislative bodies and reporting a low order priority bill like this one is not likely to be at the top of anyone's list. Wait a few...

Re: Good spot for a river checkraise?....(400nl)
All depends on what kind of player he is, if he's aggro enough to try and value bet semi marginal hands like KQ/bluff missed hands here like KJ then absolutely, go for the CR, sure they won't pay you...

If he's down that much on his all in's he'd be down overall, not making the $3/hr he's claiming, that makes his #'s even less credible. Obviously some people have had more short term 'luck' than...

Without either some data to back this up or a long history of posting & demonstrated practice, this kind of post has little value, it won't be given much credibility nor should it. While people can...

Re: Jman Mentors You
If this actually goes through I'm seriously considering changing my PS avatar to the same thing just so I can hide in the hordes of mediocre players who will likely sign up for this.
