Dude cold calls for half his stack preflop, just give up?

$69 single table. Made the raise cuz the open raiser had been min raising a ton and I'd been playing tight as hell. SB hasn't been that active so no real read.

Re: 50 NL Two Pair, turn decision

wtf at his action. Feels like a defensive bet with 1 pair or something. As retarted as it is I've seen donks min raise OOP with a random ace or even A-strong, and since he's too scared to buy in...

Re: Final 2 tables, , good flop but awkward to play...

Yeah, I like the line of betting 70k and obv calling a push. In the hand though I went for a CRAI thinking there might be some hands that he could shove over a bet but might not be able to call an...

Re: Final 2 tables, , good flop but awkward to play...

Well as for playing Q5s the other stacks are such that they're mostly either shoving or folding so if I'm not callign a shove my hand doesn't really matter, and with them seeming tight trying to make...

Final 2 tables, , good flop but awkward to play...

13 left i think in the $17.5k, a $24 900 person donkament. I have the CL at this point but have been playing pretty tight which is why I raised this hand. Villain isn't that good, pretty...

Re: overbet wtf

Looks like a fold. He's not value betting for over the pot with worse, so it would have to be a bluff, but I doubt he has air because he probably bets the flop and definitely folds the turn with...

Re: Hand from Borgata WPT

So the claim is that there is no hand that he raises 6x from BB preflop, checks the flop, and just calls turn bet, therefore has to be an angle shoot with AA/KK. Why can't he have AQ or AJs? I can...

Re: just knew he was donking

So you're putting him on AQ or AJ, or maybe AK? Preflop his huge reraise would seem to suggest 88-QQ, AK, and depending on the player maybe AQ/AJ, KK, AA, other stuff. His flop bet is pretty big...

What do you make of this chat

We've been going at it for a long time, lots of 3 barreling, lots of big pot without big hands. He'd been talking all kinds of [censored] before this. Earlier he doubled up with OESD vs my overpair...

New to HU cash, so lost NLCASH

We've been going at eachother quite a bit so far, especially since I called his $51 river bet into $72 with A high and beat his air. He's partly afraid to bluff me since he thinks I call any bet...

Re: New to HU cash, so lost

meh, I usually fold preflop but felt stubborn, esp this deep in position with maybe deceptive hand if it hits. But yeah, if I call turn the plan is to fold to a river bet unimproved, especially...

Thanks for the thoughts Collin. Very helpful. I folded obv and ended up getting 3rd. fwiw I caught up with him on the tables later and he said he had...

Re: Live tourney, can I possibly fold any of these??

Hand 1: Don't fold. You're ahead of his range which does include AA but also AKs, QQ, maybe JJ. Plus I would think at least one of the cold callers has something like AQ making it less likely he...

Re: 4 left in FT $55k, can I call with whiffed AK here?

Thanks Kenny. Looking back I would def. take the line you suggested and raise to 85k or so and shove this flop (assuming he doens't open shove). It was probably one of those situations where the...

Re: what do i do here?

What's the buy in? Anyway I would do either of a few different things based on stacks and reads. Betting 700 or 800 will get a better hand to call and worse hand to fold, which sounds ugly but on...

Re: Final 2 tables of FTP 28k guarantee line check

I'm guessing villain is button, and it also looks like he's one of the big stacks and you're above ave? And by saying he played back at blind steals, do you mean he reraised preflop and took it...

4 left in FT $55k, can I call with whiffed AK here?

4 left in the FT $55k. Prizes are something like $13800, $8900, $6700, $4400. Villain (vetiver) has been playing aggressive and playing well, and also running good as hell. He perceives that I'm...

3 left in FT 22k, marginal spot with A2

Villain has been the massive chip leader since we were in the money and has been playing uber aggressive open raising to just over 3xbb about 66% when it folds to him and I imagine he's doing it with...

Re: Can I call either of these?

What do you put them on in each hand? I think boat can be ruled out in hand 1 since that would mean he raised the turn with set or 2 pair. Does a flush shove for more than the pot after the board...
