Re: Is calling more profitable here?

No stats on the villain at that point in time. Perhaps I could extract more value by calling as he wouldn't be calling a re-raise with a hand stronger than my own?

Is calling more profitable here?

Is flat calling his flop bet into me a more profitable play here? Given my equity I think it's alright to raise but if he is weak leading into me do I want to scare him off with a re-raise here?

Re: PokerAce Hud stat - Number of Times Limp PreFlop

There is no limp preflop stat, however this can be obtained through analysis of the VPIP and PFR stats which are shown as default on the HUD. If someone has a VPIP of 40% and a PFR (preflop raise) of...

Argument for calling here, or raise standard?

Ignoring the fact that the shortstack called for rest of his stack, is there an argument for simply flat calling with QQ here agsinst the original raiser. He was playing 9/3 over 52 hands.

Re: Stars Bet Pot AHK ?

I'm guessing this doesn't work with people using Windows 2000 (don't ask)? On Stars when I right click to get it to bet pot, it just resets the slider to '0'.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Shoving here +EV against his range?

When he min-raised me it was only me left in the pot with him so it was not 3-way. I found it impossible to give him credit for a straight or even a straight draw (although still likely I'm ahead of...

Shoving here +EV against his range?

Against his possible range here do you think raising/shoving is +EV here given the likelihood of him calling? He is a 25/11.

Re: 25NL Suited Connectors against LAG

[ QUOTE ]
He isn't a LAG, he is a loose passive fish. Judging by his flop bet and AF, I do not think raising has much value here. He could have AK, but the rest of the time he has AQ, JJ+ and he...

Oh, and you put your opponent on a range of hands not "He has AJ, I shove".

How do I put him on a range here?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1224846

So I raise it up with AK from UTG, which is standard, and get called by ‘mightbewrong’. His stats were 4.1/4.1 over 20 hands, which is a small sample size, but...

Re: We should call instead of push here given the pot equity?

I've just realised that my equity calculation in my head was wrong and came out as +EV instead of -EV. Instead of getting -1.8BB I was getting +1.8BB which was why I was saying it was +EV to...

Re: We should call instead of push here given the pot equity?

If I'm calling the flop, it's purely from a math based perspective as he is giving me the correct odds to call his raise given my equity in the pot with the range I have assigned to him. That is why...

Re: We should call instead of push here given the pot equity?

Even if I assign a range to him of top pair, two pair, a set, or an OESD of some kind, I'm still just below 50% equity to win the pot... therefore should I not be going by what is said to be the most...

We should call instead of push here given the pot equity?

As far as I can tell, we have about 20% equity in this pot if we are up against two pair or a set here on this dry board (the Villain is an unknown with no reads). In the hand we have a positive...

Re: Equity against an opponents range!

[ QUOTE ]
your equity in this example is 30%

the pot is ~$31 and is offering 4.4:1

for 100 pots played:

win 30% 30 x 31 = 930
lose 70% 70 x 7 = 490
