Re: 1+.25 45man, AJo - want to plug a leak if it is one

You are Button + 3, my default move would be to open for 3xBB.

Re: Size of bankroll for $20/180?

[ QUOTE ]
Are you saying a person with a lot of limps into money with 50% ROI should need less of a bankroll than a guy with a lot of firsts but the same ROI?

[/ QUOTE ]

In theory yes. This...

Re: Size of bankroll for $20/180?

Yes dollars. I missed 40 cents of the prize pool so I was a little off but it doesn't matter much:

10% ROR BR = $ 1899.25
5% ROR BR = $ 2470.98
2% ROR BR = $ 3226.76
1% ROR BR = $ 3798.49

Re: Size of bankroll for $20/180?

I'm not sure that you can calculate a tournament bankroll in the same way that you would calculate other games ( i.e. video poker, black jack ) but I'll make an attempt.

Based on the payouts for...

Re: Do you call ?? $4 180 man SNG

I came to the same conclusion. However, my understanding of the proper use of the stop and go is still far from prefect so maybe you can check my ranges for villain.

Villain's limp range:...

Re: What\'s my move here?

Thank you.

I agree, I would probably put hero on a range of at least 88+/AQ+. My point ( although not expressed very well ) was that even if villain put hero on a range as narrow as JJ+/AQ+ that...

Re: What\'s my move here?

Villain is calling 5900 to win 11300. This is about 1.9 to 1.

If your shoving range were only AK and pairs that beat him then it would be almost the right price to call.

equity win tie ...

Re: Getting full value from overpairs, $5 and $10 MT-SNGs

Maybe I should have claimed that I laid the KK down preflop due to my psychic abilities ?? I bet I'd be over 40 replies by now.

Anyway, one shameless self bump and then I'll go away.

Getting full value from overpairs, $5 and $10 MT-SNGs

I realize that these are probably very easy hands for most of you but I'm trying to make sure that I'm taking the line that will get me full value for these hands and currently, I'm not sure that I...

Full Tilt Poker Incomplete Hand History

it seems that when I am moved during a tournament on FTP, the hand history for the last 1 or 2 hands played at my previous table are not recorded. Does anyone else have this problem ? Is there a...

Re: 88 UTG - Final Table of 45 Man SnG

Something might be wrong with the converted hand because I don't think he open raised. He was reraised by UTG so UTG must have open limped.

Re: 1+.25 45man, KK overpair

One of the things that I started doing is to try to identify the hands that I want to review/study before the action completes. I just keep a notepad by the computer and when I am faced with a...

How many outs do you think the backdoor draws are worth?

[/ QUOTE ]

I usually count a backdoor FD as 1 out and a backdoor SD as a 1/2 - 3/4 of an out. Adjusting downwards if I...

Re: 1+.25 45man, 78s flopped two pair

FWIW, I'm not sure of the value of limping in with SCs in low buyin turbos. When I say I'm not sure, I mean that. The problem is that you're rarely playing beyond the flop and people...

I think you are misapplying the information that you are gathering from poker stove.

Re: JJ, not sure if i played it rationally.
