X360 recommendations?

All,

I recently purchased an Xbox 360 and I right now I just have the following games:
Perfect Dark Zero
Fight Night Round 3
Dead or Alive 4

Basically I'm looking for recommendations for games/accessories to buy now/in the near future

I like all kinds of games EXCEPT for role playing-which rules out Final Fantasy XI and Elder Scrolls:oblivion

Also, I don't have an Xbox live subcription and was wondering
-how much is it/month?
-is it worth it?

Thanks

I was about to post the exact same thing. I have call of duty 2 which I like a lot and an xbox360 subscription which I think was around $45 for the year or somthing.

I have every game. I would say only two are must haves: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon and PGR 2. Get them immediately!

I don't know how much it is a month but it's worth it. Some of the downloadable games are very fun. The best of the bunch is Geometry Wars. You'll spend way more time than you think on this relatively simple arcade style game from the 80s (70s?).

Call of Duty is a must buy to me. Very intense and fun game. If you have a good TV/soundsystem I would also rent Condemmed. Too short to buy it but its a great game to play over a weekend.

MLB 2K6 is terrible. Oblivion is amazing, you should reconsider your dislike for it.

Burnout is a very fun racing game. Its one of the better games I have played in several years. Also BattleField2 is a great Xbox live game.

I believe if you buy a hard drive for your 360, it comes with an xbox live silver status account. Just check xbox.com to find what the rates are.

Alright.

Well, I'm not going to get over my dislike to rpg's anytime soon enought to justify buying this now so I guess I'll rent it. Which brings me to the question-will I actually be able to make a decision as to whether or not I like it enough to buy it in about ~5-6 hours of gameplay?

I'd be willing to bet that more hours have been put into geometry wars that any other xbox 360 game. Or maybe all the other xbox 360 games combined. If you like arcade-style games, there are a bunch of good ones on xbox live arcade (like all of the popcap games).

That should probably be enough to decide.

I'll save you the rental, if you dislike RPG you are not gonna like Oblivion enough to want to buy it.
