How about a new forum: Taxes?

I don't know how much overhead a new forum adds to the 2+2 staffer's lives, but if it's not much, how about creating a new one for folks to talk about taxes, definition of "session", etc. That would free this one up for legislative issues.

If a legislator , or lobbyist were to read this forum, they will get the idea that we're a bunch of tax evaders and sneaks - which, we might be, but let's not make it so easy for them to see that...

No kidding. We need a place that we can refer our elected officials to, so they can get a sense of the legitimate concern about the legal status of poker.

I don't know if there is enough legislative material to keep this place busy, but taxes will always be there for us.

What we could use is a sticky, outlining the basics of what one needs to do for federal taxes and the like.

We ran the sticky idea by Cola a while back. I don't think the 2+2 mods want to put a sticky on taxes up for fear that someone may interpret it as an official "stance" by 2+2. That may open 2+2 up to certain liability.

I can see where they are coming from.

But will tax issues be something that will be discussed year-round?
