Links to useful threads in this forum

With tax season over for most people and the anticipated Congressional debate coming up on the internet gambling issue, I figured this might be a good time to collect links to some of the threads of note (and save some of you the burden of using the search function).

With a few exceptions, the links here are to threads in this forum, and as of today, the links to the articles mentioned were still good.

Tax/reporting issues

When are internet winnings taxable? (thread includes a link to Russ Fox's website with detailed answers)

When Neteller account must be reported to the IRS
How to Turn Your Poker Playing into a Business (*TT* mentioned the book here; it's fairly new, so there wasn't much mention when I searched the Books and Publications forum)

Internet Gambling Legislation

The legislation at issue is HR 4411 (Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) and HR 4777 (Internet Prohibition Act). You can track these at THOMAS Senator John Kyl has attempted to place an internet prohibition act as an amendment to certain legislation, most recently a lobbying reform bill in March, but has so far been unsucessful.
