Flopped Two Pair, scary river OOP

First hand at the table, no data mined reads on villain. Pretty standard? I planned to call about a 2/3 PSB.

Turn bet was a little small, although the converter doesnt subtract for rake. It was roughly 3/4 PSB, std for me

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $142.05
UTG+1: $140.35

Button: $63.65
SB: $114.10
Hero: $100

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, Hero checks.

c/f!

There are too many better 2p hands and straights here to call down. Bet more on the turn.

yeah check call. he knows you don't like the river after you check and will he likely bet a missed FD

Gotta check/fold this, i don't really have a problem with the turn bet here.

what about a bigger turn bet? closer to a PSB like 12ish.

and the river... i think check and call anything less than 2/3 PSB back. 4 to the str8 and someone whose been calling down the whole never looks good. you could maybe fold to a river bet but id like to look this guy up.

Does no one advocate a blocking bet here? I think a lot of times people will sense weakness and bet to try and steal. I would seriously consider putting out a 13 dollar blocking bet and fold to any more aggression from villain.

nasty

it's a limped pot so all the weird 2 pair hands that beat you are still plausible Q8, Q9. Q5, J9, J8, J5, 95, 98. Lots of T's could play this way like T8, T9, TJ a Tc clubs and any othe club etc. Even a slowplyed flopped str8 isn't out of the picture.

c/f to any bet unless you have a read that this player is the type who auto bets a checked river, and even then only if the bet is small.

All,

The turn bet looks small because the converter doesnt subtract rake. It was a 3/4 PSB

What range do you put villain on for those who advocate a c/f? I think close to 80% of the time villain has a flush draw.

I think the only thing thjat calls here is a hand that beats me. The only way to get value is to c/c

if thats your read that 80% he has a busted draw, you have to c/c - no question.

I think 80% is a vast over estimate but I wasn't there.
