A pretty sad Pokerstars Chat warning

So I was checking my backup email account where I have my poker-related emails setup. I check it once a month. About 3 weeks ago I got a chat warning for abusive behavior.

I was flagged for calling somebody a "moron". He was berating some guy who had just left the table down a ton of money he had tilted off.

I think that maybe Stars needs to evaluate their number of customer service employees if this is the type of stuff that they fill their time with. I see a potential cost savings initiative here before their IPO.

As someone here said, playing on Pokerstars is like playing under a caring mother and all your opponents are unicorns. If you think about it that way, your situation makes a whole lot more sense.

Don't know if they were necessarily 'filling their time' just trying to find this stuff.
Very possible that somebody at the table reported it.

I only thought the word rigged drew that much scrutiny

I'm certain the "moron" reported it. I think it is sad that they put forth effort to send me a nastygram about it.

That's standard practise when there's a complaint about someone. If he was actually the one being abusive to a player then explain the situation to them and I'm sure they will send him a nastygram.

You probably got reported, so what?

Since I'm in class and bored, Stars chat rant:

I got a warning on there once, it was a stud8 hand where I had aces up in a multi-way jammed pot and it was damn obvious this other guy that was jamming me had wired 2's. I was tilty, folded, and typed "you better have 222." He split a massive pot and told me for a while after to shut my [censored] mouth about hands, bla bla bla. He reported me and I got an email from stars saying if I was still IN the hand, I could talk about his holding as much as I want, this is "coffee-housing" or something, but as soon as I fold it's a breach of conduct to say anything. Makes a lot of sense.

Stars has a vested interest keeping table chat reasonably polite.

Berating people at the table is stupid.

"Where are all the fish?"

A: No one calls you a moron at the blackjack table.

Of course, the people who do it are always fish themselves.
