Whats the most chips you have ever seen someone have in play?
 

Not cash value - but actual chips. I have a feeling the winner will be from a limit game using $5 chips for 20-40, but I have one that might come kinda close (I don't play limit).

The most I have seen was a guy with over 700 chips (he cashed out when I did and had 8 racks of chips). It was a 2-5NL uncapped buy-in and he had about $10k. The chips were mostly $5's and $25's with $100's and even a few $500's. I was sitting next to him and it was getting kind of annoying trying to see past his stack every orbit.

Limit holdem gets some insane chip stacks. I've had more than you describe playing $3-6(over 800 chips). I love to have a big stack.

Biggest is a dealer at the Bike who went on a multi hour heater there. He won over $2200 in a $3-6 game. Even after coloring up $700 or so, the modified pyramid he built with the remaining 1500 chips was insane

i think the foxwoods record for the 20-40 limit game is 17 racks of 5$ chips, this was recently set by "stormin" norman

i heard the session was less than 36 hours long also

Are the racks 5x20?.. I've also never played b&m(i'm 19)

Glad you asked, because I just saw the biggest stack I've ever seen this past Sunday at Brantford. A guy playing 2/5 limit had a 5x5x5 pyramid of whites ($1 in Canada), with each stack being at least 50-high, though it was probably even higher. That's at least 750 chips, but he had some extras on top, and like I said, each stack was probably higher than 50. I estimate closer to 900.

Wow - so far the winner is the Fatal Error seeing a guy with 1700 chips... Talk about annoying.

The guy I saw with over 700 had them in stacks of 20 which made it extra annoying. Yes, a rack is 100 chips at 5X20.
