8,6 soooted anyone?

CO is 42/25/1.4. He raises often preflop with nothing much, it seems. At least one hand prior, he raised preflop, checked the turn, then folded the river.

Input on every street appreciated. I'm especially curious what everyone thinks about the river bet (as opposed to check/call).

What's the read on the button? What are his cold calling standards here? From his play in this hand, he seems rather weak.

I think I like the bet. No one has shown any strength so youre likely to have the best hand and I see A high hands calling here.

You don't really care about what his opening standards are with a hand like 86s, what you need to consider are you implied odds. Is this an action Dan fellow who's going to throw a mountain of money at you if you make your big hand? If not, you might reconsider (conversly, if he's very predictable you'll realize more equity than you actually have when you semi-bluff, your 8s and 6s will play a little better too, though small pairs can't really be "paid off"). Against a tough player who falls somewhere in the middle (either by accideny or on purpose) you'll be less inclined to call. It's usually pretty playable here. I'll toss it if I'm involved in a few other hands and play it if nothing's on the run.

I call here all day preflop against these chimps and play tighter and defend less than the average 2+2er for sure.

Seems ok - button may call you with ace high and the guy in the middle might have a busted draw or something like QJ that he'll fold. In any event, if you're beaten, you probably won't be raised since it doubtful anyone's that strong.

For what it's worth, I probably bet (or sometimes checkraise) the flop in this hand, and then I'd play well after that.

I usually do something else than check-call on the flop so the turn dont go down as it did here.
Preflop is easy, canīt believe someone suggested folding it. 84s-82s are probably close.

Depending on the button read I might check/raise this flop, surely if that seven was a four, or if the button dropped on the flop. If I just called I think donking the turn has merit. Preflop is easy call. The way it played out river is a bet since that's a board on which Ace high might call, but won't bet.

I check raise the flop usually here.

On the river, I mix it up, sometimes I check, sometimes I bet
