Well you had a lock low, and nothing for the high except the pair of 4s Ace kicker. So really I see the big bets on the turn and river as near freeroll bets except under the case you get quartered, which makes this a gutsy move.

The raise could be interpreted as the 4 somehow improved my hand on the turn, thats why the bet on the river inducing trips. My reasoning was that if i check the river we will split the pot, i put him on a pair or just chasing a gutshot.

I don't like the size of the raise on the turn. As is, you have the nut low and draws to the wheel or atleast redraws to another nut low if yours gets counterfeited. I probably want to keep everyone in so I put out a little sweetner bet. Maybe make it $2.25 to go. That might intice others to stay. Plus you have outs to scoop with a 7. Even if you only chop this pot, the other bets you extract on the turnand river might make up the difference. Here, what if you were reraised by one of the blinds on the turn? Now you are the one that might be quartered at a higher price. So you lose more or win about the same with this pot sized raise.
