If you were WSEX...

Exactly how would you go about marketing the no rake concept?

I'd be like "Hey noobs, free money into your account every week!"

They have the rake calculators...that does a pretty good job of showing how much money players are saving. Maybe they could generalize/simplify it even more?

I agree that it's pretty simple, but I think they should emphasize that they are transferring money to your account weekly. They could make it sound way more sexy to a fish than simply no rake. Fish I don't think fully comprehend the impact of rake.

I think the way they are doing it on their site is a pretty good start.

And I love the little graphic-calculator they have when you log-on.

I was thinking more in terms of what media would you use? I read all the poker magazines and read all the poker websites and I just gloss through the ads. I don't think a magazine or internet ad has caught my attention in months. The TV ads during poker shows sometimes catch my attention because they're funny or goofy. I just don't think WSEX will be able to generate that much poker traffic without running television commercials. Showing the rake calculation savings on a television commercial with some catchy graphs seems like a good idea to me. Maybe I'm underestimating the power of magazine and internet ads. I also know nothing about marketing, and thought maybe some people with a more knowledgeable marketing background would have better ideas of how to advertize and how effective the different forms of advertisement are.

Not too difficult. Just compare their rakefree site, to Party or something. Generalize it (instead of saying #hands say.."casual, pro, or..X hours of play), so the lazy american (obv) can understand. A sign up incentive would be nice..maybe free $10 in the sportsbooks or something....pretty sure traffic would increase 100%

yeah, and it's very eye-catching and would probably help with advertising.
