Taking a passive line with AK

Villain is a decent 21/17/3, might be 2p2 but I don't know him. Or her.

There's actually a lot in this hand that you might not like. My line of thinking:

Preflop is usually a 3bet but CO was a fish which I wanted to keep in the hand.

Flop bet is standard.

Turn card kinda sucks since KQ got there, but I still beat mid pp's and split with AK. I c/c because I can't really bet for value except against maybe KJ, but I do believe I'm ahead of his range, while my check induces bluffs. Is this OK?

River: if I c/c turn, it makes no sense to c/f river (or does it?) so I c/c again. Should I c/c here?

? I would be checkin this flop like 100% unless you bet out with air/weak made hands a lot.

I'd fold river. I really doubt this is a bluff nearly enough to be a profitable call.

c/c flop

I really don't see why are leading the flop. I'd c/c, maybe c/r if he thinks you could be c/r'ing air (and consequently would call with a fair number of kings).

Re: Taking a passive line with AK

I did the flop lead because CO was in the hand; CO is a passive fish and calls with a wide range (stuff like A3, K4). BTN wasn't my main point of focus yet at that point.

But I agree that c/c flop would have been good.

I would think a decent 21/17/3 would be c-betting a lot if he missed the flop and it's checked to him.

preflop is fine.
flop is fine if it works into some overall game plan. although i prefer check-call or check-raise myself. But you're ahead here like 90% of the time and I would only like leading if you believe if it's to induce a bluff raise from the Villain.

turn- the queen does suck but i'm never folding in this hand. the only question u have to ask yourself is what is the best way to extract from worse hands.
