Acer seems to be decently reputable, and this comes with a 3 year warranty. How does this compare to Samsung's monitors?

I like the bads, because I hate monitors with speakers and USB ports.

How does it compare to Samsungs offerings? No clue.. that's a little specific for me. I'm more a Dell lcd user than anything. (I'm poor, they offer credit, you do the math)

22" LCDs are for the most part all interchangable. I don't think I've seen any 22" widescreen that didn't use a TN-type panel. TN is great for gamers, I guess, since it has fast refresh, but the viewing angles are pretty crappy and many of them are 6-bit from what I've seen.

Most 24" panels seem to use some variant of PVA technology, which has better color rendition, more contrast (blacker blacks) and much better viewing angles.

I'm not a gamer so I guess TN is only beneficial for me since it's cheaper. I'm not looking to spend much more than 300 dollars so I don't have too many choices. I want the monitor for general computer use, 4-6 tabling (I can deal with resizing), and maybe the occasional DVD. Are TN-type panels noticeably worse than PVA-type panels for these uses?
