Quick VPIP question

I prefer to play a TAG style. Is a 'standard' VPIP i should be aiming for around 17-18%?

Re: Quick VPIP question

Full ring or 6-max? Limit or no-limit?

Re: Quick VPIP question

What would be standard for 6 max and Full ring? I know 6 max should have higher VPIP, but what would be a good target VPIP? NL

Re: Quick VPIP question

Dont worry about vpip so much there is a decent range but I have heard of people winning with anything less than 30%

Its about when and what...
i.e. if you fold aa and kk preflop everytime... you may have a small preflop leak.

fwiw for 6max NL im a 7bb/100 winner over my last 16k hands with a vpip of 24 but I am far from perfecct

Re: Quick VPIP question

Definitely man, don't think of VPIP as a target. Just stick with a strong hand range, add a few hands or drop a few hands as you gain experience, and the number will come out on it's own.

I played 20/12 when I first started playing 6max limit. I play more like 24/18 after a lot of experience, but some very successful players are much tighter, and some much looser.
