Mid-PP Hand #2
Is this a fold or shove??
This is from the FUPER. I have been aggressive, but I dont think I have been that aggressive recently. I think this is the first hand back from break Full Tilt Poker Game #4211164482: $55 000 Guarantee (31126978) Table 46 - 120/240 Ante 25 - No Limit Hold'em - 22:15:31 ET - 2007/11/17 Seat 1: bad beat fc (7 215) Seat 2: gregior (3 830) Seat 3: mjs013 (6 580) Seat 4: Buzman (6 840) Seat 5: Dihxm (3 178) Seat 6: dogsballs (4 950) Seat 7: KpKelly (8 220) Seat 8: dharma1 (5 846) Seat 9: Hero (6 850) bad beat fc antes 25 gregior antes 25 mjs013 antes 25 Buzman antes 25 Dihxm antes 25 dogsballs antes 25 KpKelly antes 25 dharma1 antes 25 Hero antes 25 Buzman posts the small blind of 120 Dihxm posts the big blind of 240 The button is in seat #3 Holecards: Dealt to Hero [5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ] dogsballs folds KpKelly raises to 695 dharma1 calls 695 Hero |
Re: Mid-PP Hand #2
I fold this pretty fast I think. Calling is really bad and you're way behind their calling range. You have 28BBs you have plenty of time to wait for a better spot.

Re: Mid-PP Hand #2
No reads on villain?
I had a similar hand come up with 55 in EP, I was shorter but it was just a resteal, not squeeze - so the increase to my stack was approx the same. I did a pretty in depth calculation of the EV of a shove. The effect of having several players yet to act is actually pretty negligible. Basically my conclusion was that I'd almost rather shove this hand from MP than from the blinds, since the increase in credibility likely more-than compensates for the live hand risk. BUT, I was really confused with the ranges to assign. By putting in what I thought was reasonable, I could literally shove ATC for a profit. So I'm interested to see what other ppl say. |
Re: Mid-PP Hand #2
seems like a pretty easy fold to me
