AQ early on button ($16 turbo)

Poker Stars, $15 + $1 NL Hold'em Tournament, 15/30 Blinds, 9 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Hero (BTN): 1,455
SB: 3,300
BB: 1,365
UTG: 1,320
UTG+1: 1,470
UTG+2: 380
MP1: 1,430
MP2: 1,465
CO: 1,315

Pre-Flop: (45) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
2 folds, UTG+2 raises to 380 and is All-In, 3 folds, Hero calls 380, SB raises to 3,300 and is All-In, BB folds, Hero calls 1,075 and is All-In

Yea I know I played this badly but should I have shoved pre flop or folded pre flop or folded to the second all in?

How did UTG+2 lose his stack to SB. You should know the answer to this and include this information in the orginal post plz.

In these sorts of situations I normally either re-pop or fold. Just calling seems to invite players acting behind you to shove (this often isolates and gets dead chips in the pot).
This is pretty close to a shove (you are obviously crushing UTG+2's range).
I dunno, perhaps folding for survival's sake is better? You'll pick up 380 chips some of the time, but other times you'll get eliminated by one of the blinds. I like fold best.

This is really bad. Reads on initial shover are pretty necessary. If I'm going to play the pot I am shoving pf rather than flatting, which is just awful with a marginal hand (I take AQo to be marginal in early lvls).

I guess you gotta call the shove and hope to be up against 99-JJ, even QQ/KK isn't that bad due to the size of the pot/the amount we have invested already.

w/ AQ I hate just calling behind and would much rather re-push to take out weaker hands. After you flat and he shoves, I would fold becuase you are most likely behind his range and it is still very early that you dont need to take a flip at best for all your chips.

Also, how did the SB get those chips from UTG+2, that should also be factor you should think about

I just fold to begin with, I believe.
