NL200 - Bottom full, am I ever good here?

NL200

Reads - Villain (stack ~250) has made some rock headed plays and is whiny

4 Limpers. Hero (stack ~400) in the BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] checks

Pot $10

Flop 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero leads for $10, villain in MP calls

Pot $30

Turn 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Villain checks

Yes, yes, yes, I should have bet. The draw came in and I was under-representing my looking to get a raise in on the turn because the pot started small.

River 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero leads for $25, villain all-in, ~$200 to call

Hero?

Is my hand ever good here? Every draw in the world has come in and I haven't shown any particular strength, but I feel like nobody ever shoves less than the nuts on this board and I'm sitting on a hand that feels strong, but is like the 10th nuts.

Lead turn for sure. Flushes will often raise and you can get all-in on the turn that way.

As played, meh... might be a fold.

I don't understand this:

"Every draw in the world has come in"

You are beating all of the draws.... in fact, you checked the turn hopin that villain's flush draw came in?

How is your hand the 10th nuts? Only 55, 66, 88 are beating you, oh and 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], so you have the 5th nuts. Only two of those are moderately likely.

I must be missing something here, because I think you have the best hand here more than often enough.

65, 85 and 52 also beat me. 52 and 85 aren't all that likely, but it is a limped pot. The point is that there are quite a few very plausible hands that beat me so my hand isn't particularly strong even though I have a boat.

The bigger question, for me, is how often does anyone shove this board without the nuts. If it were just a raise I'd be much more comfortable about getting my money in. I'm really getting a lousy price in this pot.

I feel like AcXc does this once in a while too (plus the very occasional pure bluff), whether it's often enough to call I don't know. I think I lean towards a fold... I'm guessing most of the forum will disagree with me on that though.

Re: NL200 - Bottom full, am I ever good here?

Probably true.

In any case, I snap called and he turned up 55 mid fist pump for the nuts. Nothing worse than not even getting halfway through your fist pump before your chips get shipped the other way. It was at this point I thought that I should have taken some time calling off all my chips. Perhaps if I were to fist pump first and then call I would have thought through it a bit more. I have a terrible time folding strong hands that aren't (which is part of my suckitude), but I do think that you see someone shove the nuts here a lot.
